The modern era is plagued by relentless cyber threats and data breaches, and the bad actors involved will only become more sophisticated. Traditional security models that relied on blanket trust once a user gained entry to a network are considered moot, by many.
Luckily, cloud-based zero-trust and zero-knowledge cybersecurity software has since emerged to provide protection for passwords, passkeys, connections and privileged access. By combining rigorous access controls, cutting-edge encryption and continuous verification, this innovative approach heralds a new era of security, ensuring that data remains impervious to unauthorized access or exposure.
Cloud-based zero-trust and zero-knowledge solutions ensure that sensitive information remains impervious to prying eyes. With the server or cloud provider never gaining access to the actual content, the risk of exposure or misuse of critical data is curtailed, providing organizations and individuals with peace of mind.
Keeper Security, a player in the space, offers affordable and easy-to-use solutions that are built on a foundation of zero-trust and zero-knowledge security to protect every user on every device. Keeper’s next-generation privileged access management solution deploys in minutes and seamlessly integrates with any tech stack to prevent breaches, reduce help desk costs and ensure compliance.
Keeper also offers extensions for Chrome and Firefox. Previously, Apple users could not take advantage of the browser extension. But that has now changed with Keeper and its launch of Keeper for Safari.
Keeper provides a seamless user experience across all supported browsers, offering essential features to enhance password security, data management and collaboration. With Keeper's browser extension, users can automatically generate strong passwords and securely store them in an encrypted vault. The extension enables convenient saving and autofilling of passkeys, simplifying login processes for websites and applications.
It also offers automatic credential filling across all platforms, streamlining access to various online services. In addition, the extension supports storing and autofilling two-factor authentication codes, bolstering account security.
Beyond passwords, Keeper's extension allows users to store and autofill other sensitive data, including confidential files, photos, videos, payment card details and bank information. The extension enables secure sharing of passwords, data and files with family, friends and colleagues, fostering collaboration while maintaining robust security measures.
The dark web monitoring feature promptly alerts users of any breached accounts, providing an extra layer of protection. Organizational tools such as nested folders, subfolders and shared folders enhance data management, while the ability to switch effortlessly between multiple Keeper accounts facilitates seamless transitions between personal and business contexts.
"Keeper's browser extension for Safari now shares the same codebase as our Chrome, Edge and Firefox extensions, which streamlines the user experience and allows us to continue to move fast to deploy new capabilities for all users, across all operating systems,” said Craig Lurey, Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Keeper. “With the addition of passkey support, this provides customers with a consistent experience wherever they use Keeper."
The download is available in the Apple App Store. After doing so, Apple users must disable the existing KeeperFill extension and activate Keeper for Safari by clicking the checkbox.
