ConnectWise, a provider of software solutions for technology service providers, enables businesses to streamline their operations, enhance efficiency, and deliver exceptional service to their clients in the IT industry. Its offerings include professional services automation (PSA), remote monitoring and management (RMM), and cybersecurity management.
The company’s Cyber Research Unit (CRU) also monitors the threat landscape and provides real-time insights and research to protect communities through cybersecurity products and SOC services.
Their proactive security strategy has successfully prevented millions of attacks on Technology Solution Providers (TSPs) in the past year.
At a recent annual cybersecurity conference, officials announced new enhancements and innovation—powered by the Asio platform. Thanks to the platform’s modern architecture, the company said it’s able to make updates to its solutions monthly, weekly, and even daily in some cases.
Updates to its software solutions include:
- ConnectWise SaaS Security now offers enhanced capabilities like monitoring and alerting for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, self-service integrations, and flexible alert opt-in/out options. ConnectWise Vulnerability Management expanded to include seamless vulnerability patching and remediation.
- ConnectWise SIEM has added Microsoft Azure monitoring, EDR and IDS dashboards, improved log analyses, and enhanced historical data access.
- ConnectWise SOC Services Hero Report provides advanced visibility into the ConnectWise MDR service, presenting insights on suspicious alerts and investigation results.
- ConnectWise RMM now offers network monitoring and management through integration with Auvik.
ConnectWise also announced it expanded its partnerships by collaborating with Proofpoint to enhance protection against email-based attacks, a common threat faced by Technology Solution Providers (TSPs) and has joined forces with Axcient, a backup provider, to offer ConnectWise Co-Managed Backup services. This integration enables ConnectWise partners to save significant time on backup management tasks through the utilization of ConnectWise NOC Services with Axcient. Furthermore, ConnectWise RMM now includes a native integration that allows TSP partners to deploy Axcient agents, monitor alerts, and establish backup policies seamlessly. These collaborations aim to enhance security and operational efficiency for TSPs.
At the conference, the company also took time to discuss challenges, opportunities, and solutions for the most pressing topics in the cybersecurity arena.
"We can't sit idly by or use the same methods of the past," said Jason Magee, Chief Executive Officer of ConnectWise. "Threat actors have motives. We need to understand them, prepare for them, and defend against them. Cybersecurity attacks continue to rise and there is a notable lack of confidence among SMBs about capabilities and resources to defend against bad actors. SMBs need a trusted partner to provide expertise, streamline processes and offer solutions in-house.”
