SentinelOne and KPMG Elevate Holistic Approach to Cybersecurity

By Greg Tavarez

It seems like cyberattacks are a daily occurrence with attacks on the larger brands happening every other week or so. Look at Slack’s GitHub account hack at the end of 2022 and Microsoft Azure services being vulnerable to server-side request forgery attacks in January. That is far too often considering the amount of time used to preach and emphasize the best cybersecurity practices throughout the tech world.

And with today’s attack landscape targeting the perimeter, spanning endpoints, clouds and identities, enterprises are rethinking cybersecurity and are coming to terms with the fact that the future of cybersecurity is autonomous.

SentinelOne is an autonomous cybersecurity platform company that offers a cybersecurity solution encompassing AI-powered prevention, detection, response and hunting across endpoints, containers, cloud workloads and IoT devices in a single autonomous XDR platform.

To accelerate investigations and response to cyberattacks, the company is in an alliance with KPMG, the audit, tax and advisory firm. The alliance empowers enterprises to contain breaches, remediate impacted assets and return to productivity in a rapid and complete fashion.

How is this achieved? For enterprises that are victims of an attack, the KPMG Digital Responder integrates with Singularity XDR’s data ingest, helping enterprises rapidly ingest and correlate data so incident response teams can go back in time and perform true enterprise forensics and understand the root cause of attacks.

Essentially, KPMG cyber response services and SentinelOne Singularity XDR help organizations gain visibility, protection and response against advanced threats to mitigate risk.

“SentinelOne, coupled with the industry experience of KPMG, helps prepare enterprises for tomorrow’s threat landscape,” said David Nides, KPMG principal and national cyber threat management services co-leader. “SentinelOne Singularity XDR can help our customers respond to incidents as well as collaborate on preventive services.”

A use case through the alliance between KPMG and SentinelOne is the two combining autonomous cybersecurity technology with the tested and tenured cybersecurity expertise to help scale The Middleby Corp.’s security operations as well as bring cybersecurity assurance to its executives.

With KPMG and SentinelOne, enterprises are more protected against the loss of intellectual property, customer data and other sensitive information that can cause financial and reputational damage.
