SkySwitch Growth and Innovation Recognized among UCaaS Leaders

SkySwitch Growth and Innovation Recognized among UCaaS Leaders

By Erik Linask

The UCaaS market has changed over the past several years.  For one thing, the features and capabilities have grown in importance as companies try to support new workforce and workplace models.  Quite simply, many businesses wouldn’t have made it through the past couple of years without UCaaS.  To be clear, it’s not a new trend, just an acceleration of what was already happening – something the world saw with many technologies and digital transformation projects in general from the middle of 2020.

The other change is in the sales channel.  As channel partners have continued to evolve their service portfolios, they have built trusted relationships with their customers, who recognize their brand and the value and quality that brand delivers.

To further build brand equity, MSPs and other channel partners have moved away from selling third-party branded UCaaS and have, instead, opted for white-label solutions that allow them to leverage their brand value to deepen those trusted client relationships.  Selling their own branded solution allows partners to own more of the client relationship, which continues to build that all-important trust, especially as businesses increasingly gravitate towards a single local provider for all their IT needs.  They also have greater control over pricing.  At the same time, those local providers have the backing and support of a proven, stable, feature-rich solution, without having to build it themselves.

The increase in demand for UCaaS from businesses and providers’ desire to sell their own branded solutions has created a tremendous opportunity for white-label providers like SkySwitch, which was acquired by BCM One two years ago.

SkySwitch has prided itself on its focus on its partners and their customers and has consistently used that as motivation to innovate around its SkySwitch white-label UCaaS platform.  In addition to a feature-rich solution, the company’s loyalty program, SkySwitch Store, and consistent focus on its partners’ success have landed it a place on the 2022 Frost Radar for the North American UCaaS Market.

The report, a benchmark that identifies companies that with a commitment to new growth strategies and a visionary perspective on the market, features providers that have proven their ability to address emerging challenged and opportunities in the UCaaS market.

Perhaps the biggest of those challenges emerged in 2020, when most businesses were forced to rapidly adopt remote work strategies – and most were ill-prepared for it.  With the SkySwitch platform, both existing and new partners were able to quickly bring their customers online with a UCaaS solution that would not only support their needs during the pandemic, but would prepare them for whatever the realities of the future workplace would become.

We now know that, for the majority of companies, that future includes some level of remote and hybrid work, making a reliable UCaaS solution – which also include a robust contact center solution – a necessity.

“We are proud to be identified as a Leader and labeled a Trailblazer by Frost & Sullivan,” said Geoff Bloss, CEO of BCM One and SkySwitch.  “Our next-generation platform allows MSPs, system integrators, interconnects, VARs, and other similar providers to deliver a best-in-class UCaaS offering under their own brands.”

Not only is the SkySwitch solution built on a proven platform (NetSapiens), to deliver a full suite of communications tools to businesses, it also supports its partners and their customers with more than 240 APIs and 250 integrations with other third-party solutions.

In its report, Frost and Sullivan notes that, “SkySwitch stands out in the North American market as a leading provider of private-label services for voice and data resellers looking to augment their portfolios with sticky, high-value UCaaS solutions.  Compelling wholesale prices enable SkySwitch resellers to offer affordable services to their customers, while also generating solid profit margins for themselves.”

The combination of market condition, a proven and reliable solution, and a compelling value proposition for partners combine to create a continued growth opportunity for SkySwitch – and has also garnered this recognition from Frost.
