CloudIT Capitalizes on SASE Growth Through Versa Partnership

By Greg Tavarez

The cybersecurity landscape evolved fast the past couple of years with hybrid and permanent remote employees becoming a normal part of workforces.  This resulted in the expansion of the digital attack surface as activities of the growing work-from-anywhere workforce rely on online collaboration tools, remote access and use of applications outside of a traditional secure perimeter.

Companies are turning to SASE to secure their remote connections. Specifically, Integrated SASE implements SASE networking and security as a single unified platform and is expected to outpace disaggregated SASE.

According to the “1Q 2022 SASE and SD-WAN Quarterly Report,” Dell’Oro Group reported total SASE networking and security revenue approached $1.5 billion and experienced over 30% year-over-year growth over Q1 2021.

MSP cloudIT sees the demand – and opportunity – and will offer SASE vendor Versa Networks’ solutions after announcing they are a Versa ACE Partner. Versa launched its Versa Accelerate, Captivate, Engage Partner Program in 2021 to enable partners to capitalize on the rapid growth in SASE.

The combined platforms of cloudIT and Versa will provide a seamless integration between the client and cloudIT’s network.

“Versa SASE will play a key role in providing secure Internet access to cloudIT clients’ enterprise sites, home offices, and on-the-go users, all without compromising performance or end-user experience,” said John Atchison, head of global channel marketing with Versa.

CloudIT chose the SASE vendor because Versa provides an end-to-end solution that simplifies and secures the modern network. Versa SASE delivers secure, scalable and reliable enterprise-wide networking and security. This is done while increasing multi-cloud application performance and driving down costs. Versa SASE is built as a complete integration of security, advanced networking, SD-WAN and analytics in a single operating system.

“CloudIT’s vision is closely aligned with that of Versa,” said cloudIT CEO Vince Kent. “Both organizations recognize the increased likelihood of cyberattacks, and both are aimed at aggressively addressing the primary operational challenges facing our mutual client base each day.

The partnership will play a key role in keeping enterprises connected, productive and enabled so cloudIT’s customer base receives quality services.
