Ingram Micro Cloud Announces Record February after Microsoft New Commerce Experience Partnership

By Tracey E. Schelmetic

In October of 2021, channel cloud marketplace company Ingram Micro Cloud began supporting the integration of Microsoft’s New Commerce Experience licensing model, which allows cloud service providers the opportunity to sell Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform and Windows 365 on a per-seat, per-month, or yearly incremental basis.

With the launch of the New Commerce Experience, Microsoft has been relying on partner companies to bolster services and make available committed legal advisory, as well as dedicated in-house engineering groups to further back any unforeseen back-end change requirements.

Since the integration, the Irvine, California-based Ingram Micro Cloud has been educating its partners on the new offerings and helped them expand capacity and capability by adapting and facilitating the automation of New Commerce Experience transaction types using CloudBlue technology. These education services have included webinars and training to share best practices, along with monthly Channel Talks to educate clients on new updates, processes, frequently asked questions, and upcoming changes.

The integration has had a significant positive impact on Ingram’s business. The company recently announced that it experienced a record month in February, supporting ten times more transactions than any month previously.

“We are delivering a consistent, simplified, and flexible purchase experience for customers and partners with Microsoft’s New Commerce Experience,” said Victor Baez, senior vice president at Ingram Micro Cloud, in a statement. “We want to provide a full catalog of offers so partners don’t miss a beat.”

In addition to offering the Microsoft solutions, Ingram Micro Cloud has also been providing access to a suite of complementary support programs, resources and representative teams focused specifically on Microsoft New Commerce Experience to further ease the transition for partners.

Ingram Micro Cloud is a Platinum sponsor of MSPEXPO 2022, part of the #TECHSUPERSHOW series. MSPEXPO has been designed to help service providers understand how they can drive more recurring revenue, increase the valuation of their companies, grow, and protect their networks and deliver better customer service. It will also help companies looking for MSP partners to understand how MSPs can help them grow. The show will take place June 21 - 24, 2022 at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  You will find Ingram Micro Cloud in Booth #507 at MSP Expo 2022.
