Kyndryl and Google Cloud Join for Digital Transformation Initiative

By Luke Bellos

According to a recent report by Channel Futures, managed infrastructure services company Kyndryl and Google Cloud recently announced a new partnership to help customers quickly transform their businesses through digital transformation. At the same time, Kyndrl has revealed plans for “Google Cloud Academy for Kyndryl”, a new educational service designed to help IT professionals learn to move mission critical workloads into Google Cloud infrastructure.

Both Kyndryl and Google Cloud understand many business leaders are becoming eager to move away from outdated technical infrastructure. After nearly two years of remote, cloud-drive work activity, it’s become obvious the modern economy is transitioning to a new era of digitally focused work. Keeping this reality in mind, Kyndryl and Google Cloud intend to provide customers with the tools and enhancements they need to thrive, while simultaneously educating the IT professionals who are responsible for keeping infrastructure fully functional.

“We’re excited to partner with Google Cloud and look forward to working together to help customers accelerate their ambitious digital business transformation plans,” commented Martin Schroeter, CEO and Chairman of Kyndryl. “Through this strategic partnership, Kyndryl and Google Cloud will enable businesses to operate more efficiently, embrace the benefits of cloud and augment their operations with advanced data, analytics, and AI technology.”

The collaboration between Kyndryl and Google Cloud will focus on a number of key areas related to digital transformation, including data management, analytics, and artificial intelligence integrations. In addition, the two companies will work together to accelerate SAP workload migration, as well as distributed enterprise edge solutions.

“The partnership between Google Cloud and Kyndryl represents a significant step forward as global enterprises seek to digitally transform their organizations,” added Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian. “So, bringing together Google Cloud’s global infrastructure and leading technology in AI, machine learning, and analytics with the world’s largest provider of managed services and IT services will accelerate global businesses’ ability to launch new, digital businesses and deliver their most critical workloads in a cloud environment.”
