Legal IT consulting firm LOGICFORCE has been acquired by Frontline Management Services, a provider of managed services for the legal profession. With the acquisition, Frontline Management Services will be adding 50 specialists to its IT managed services team, bringing its global workforce to about 750 employees. LOGICFORCE CEO Gulam Zade will join the Frontline executive management team.
Tennessee-based LOGICFORCE works closely with each client to ensure improved security and productivity within their legal business, resulting in a five to eight percent average increase in billables during the first year. Its services include IT optimization, electronic discovery, digital forensics, cybersecurity and document review.
In addition to other capabilities, Frontline will be acquiring LOGICFORCE’s Synthesis E-IT Secure (SEITS) protocol that provides a comprehensive assessment of a client company’s technology ecosystem and business goals.
“As core IT systems, eDiscovery and cyber security have grown in complexity, risk and expense, it has become very challenging for technology people to keep up,” according to LOGICFORCE. “This means that most internal IT people are focusing on day-to-day operations. Most technology consultants have core expertise in technology, but not in legal business strategy. The result is that no one is looking at your horizon and telling you definitively where you should be making technology investments that align with your business goals, both now and in the future.”
The SEITS protocol will be particularly relevant to Frontline Management Services clientele, which includes over 40 percent of the AmLaw 200. In turn, LOGICFORCE will gain access to Frontline’s “Office in a Box” strategy, which provides a full-service managed services platforms to customers.
“As we continue to deliver our promise to stay out in front for our 800 plus clients in the legal market, we are excited to once again expand our presence with the integration of another forward-looking leader in legal tech as LOGICFORCE,” said Seelin Naidoo, CEO of Frontline, in a statement. “We remain committed to our strategic growth plan to always add scale and innovation for our clients, and the team of experts and services we are welcoming from LOGICFORCE will provide a tremendous value-add for the law firm teams we service.”
