MSP Dataprise Announces Majority Investment from Trinity Hunt Partners

By Tracey E. Schelmetic

Many companies today have opportunities to grow, but they’re being held back by their IT limitations. Either they have an existing IT department, but their resources are limited and they sometimes need supplemental IT services, or they lack a meaningful IT presence altogether and need outsourced end-to-end managed IT services.

IT managed services providers (MSPs) are a growing industry, and the good news is that investors are keen on these companies. Dataprise, an IT managed services provider based in Rockville, Maryland, recently announced that it has received a majority investment from Dallas-based Trinity Hunt Partners. Currently, Dataprise manages the technology needs of more than 1,000 business customers throughout the U.S.

"We are incredibly excited about this partnership with Trinity Hunt," said David Eisner, Dataprise Founder and CEO, in a statement. "Business technology needs are changing even more rapidly today than when I started Dataprise twenty-five years ago. Our partnership with THP will provide us the resources and capabilities we need to stay ahead of those changes on behalf of our clients."

With the new investment from Trinity Hunt Partners, the company hopes to focus on expanding Dataprise's core IT service offerings and geographic reach.

"Dataprise's commitment to service quality and technology thought leadership are true differentiators," said Blake Apel, Partner at Trinity Hunt. "We have spent more than three years on a thematic deep dive in IT managed services, meeting with more than 50 companies in the space. We believe Dataprise is best-in-class in the industry, and we plan to support the company as it grows through acquisitions to become a market leading national managed services player."

To learn more about how managed service providers (MSPs) can help your business, make plans to attend MSPEXPO, part of the TECHSUPERSHOW series. MSPEXPO has been designed to help service providers understand how they can drive more recurring revenue, increase the valuation of their companies, grow their networks and deliver better customer service. It will also help companies looking for MSP partners to understand how MSPs can help them grow. The show will take place from February 12 to 14, 2020, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
