Comings and Goings: MegaPath Expands Cloud and Customer Service Initiatives with New Hires

By Laura Stotler

MegaPath, a cloud and voice services provider that is rapidly becoming a leader in the NFV space, has announced an expansion of the company. Two new senior hires will be added to the staff in an effort to expand the company’s marketing, product development and customer support initiatives.

The company has hired Arnaud Gautier as its new senior vice president of marketing and product management. Brenda Viloria will be the new vice president of customer care. Both new hires will report directly to Kurt Hoffman, president of MegaPath.

The new hires will be using their experience and knowledge of the telecom space to fuel the company’s expansion initiatives. Gautier has more than 20 years of marketing and product management experience with a focus in telecom. He will be working on market strategy and product development efforts for voice, connectivity, managed services and cloud offerings at MegaPath. Viloria also hails from telecom and has more than 20 years of experience with customer support and operations management. She will focus on enhancing the customer experience at MegaPath.

"This is a transformative year for MegaPath following two transactions that have positioned the company for growth in the cloud and unified communications services market," said Hoffman. "Arnaud and Brenda are talented industry veterans with valuable knowledge and experience that are both ideally suited to help lead the company in its next phase of product innovation and service excellence."

Last month, MegaPath expanded its Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) service portfolio, adding speeds of up to 1 Gbps throughout the U.S. The expanded services include increased reliability and scalability. In April, the company profited from the sale of its Managed Services business division to GTT Communications for $144.8 million in cash and $7.5 million in GTT stock.

Since the sale, MegaPath has been focusing on expanding core cloud services like hosted voice and unified communications. The proceeds from the sale are funding this development and solution expansion as well as being used to drive revenue growth and fund the new hires.
