NTT Com Security and Palo Alto Networks Expand Global Managed Security Services Partnership

By Laura Stotler

A new managed security services agreement has been announced between NTT Com Security and Palo Alto Networks. The arrangement has NTT providing managed security services as well as implementation and integration for Palo Alto’s security platform.

The companies are already global partners, with NTT acting as an MSP for Palo Alto’s next-generation firewalls. The service provider has also successfully implemented Palo Alto’s security platform at hundreds of organizations and is part of their NextWave partner program.

Earlier this month, NTT expanded its North American data center footprint and colocation services with a $350 million investment and 80-percent ownership stake in RagingWire Data Centers. With strengthened infrastructure in place, the company is better able to offer its Managed Security Services throughout the globe. The company offers everything from perimeter security to intrusion detection and prevention as well as content security and threat and vulnerability protection.

"Worldwide ICT trends such as global cloud adoption and the changing threat landscape, demand a consistent and global approach to security,” said Akira Arima, CEO, NTT Communications, parent company of NTT Com Security. “This new exciting partnership with Palo Alto Networks re-enforces our continued group strategy and investment into information security and risk management solutions, as part of our vision to provide secure global cloud services on a seamless, end-to-end basis.”

Palo Alto’s security platform is designed to protect enterprise, government and service provider networks from cyber threats. The offering is based on the premise that protection must be based on dynamic computing environments that take into account users, applications and content, with an emphasis on cloud and mobility uptake.
