StorageCraft Cloud Services Growth Indicates More MSPS Turning to Cloud Solutions

By Laura Stotler

In a reflection of the vast number of MSPs migrating to cloud solutions, StorageCraft Cloud Services has reported nearly 200 percent growth in the amount of data stored over the past few months. The company, which launched at the end of 2012, has also maintained 99.99 percent uptime of its cloud operations.

StorageCraft Cloud Services are geared toward MSPs and VARs, and are based on the company’s StorageCraft ShadowProtect data backup and recovery solution. The services enable service providers to offer their customers offsite backup of servers and workstations as part of a complete system and disaster recovery plan.

The offering features anytime, anywhere access to data as well as instant system failover in the cloud in the event of an issue. Users may choose from a range of options from instant virtualization of servers to simple archiving. This lets service providers offer aggressive recovery time objectives for their services along with near-continuous data protection. Customers and service providers also benefit from the convenience of managing systems and data in the cloud.

“It cannot be overstated that access to data is vital to the survival of businesses,” said Curt James, vice president of marketing and business development at StorageCraft Technology Corporation. “That is why we give our partners and customers the extra layer of protection provided by offsite recovery options as well as quick and reliable access to their data with StorageCraft Cloud Services.”

MSPs are increasingly recognizing the value of cloud solutions for their cost savings, scalability, granular levels of customization and fantastic return on investment. In the wildly competitive managed services space, it makes sense to turn over important functions like data backup and disaster recovery to a trusted cloud services provider.

StorageCraft Cloud Services offer a number of benefits including instant virtualization and networking of cloud devices along with file-and-folder access. Service providers will also benefit from personal control of customer backups for faster recovery times and high encryption and facility security standards. Services are available in the U.S. and Canada as well as Australia and New Zealand.
