If you think LogMeIn is all about consumers, you haven’t been watching very closely. The popular remote control and online storage company is also all about remote management and cloud collaboration.
And it is all about the channel, as expressed by its channel program aimed at promoting cloud application services.
The program is aimed at MSPs, VARs and outsourced IT providers.
“LogMeIn Elevate will give channel partners new ways for managing users across devices that blur work and personal lines, as well as across cloud-based apps and related data that span this myriad of devices,” the company said. “The channel program will also open the doors to resell LogMeIn's popular cloud collaboration apps, like join.me and Cubby, giving MSPs, VARs and IT service providers new ways to establish and grow client relationships.”
There are two parts to the program. The first part, rolling out now, is aimed at helping service provider partners provide support and management services for devices both bought by the employer and BYOD.
The other phase, coming later on this year, is a program to resell the company’s productivity and collaboration apps. Also included will be the ability to manage third party cloud apps using LogMeIn’s AppGuru.
“When talking to today's MSPs and IT service providers, almost all of them are looking for ways to shift their future portfolio toward the needs of cloud-centric businesses — and with that, change the focus of management from networks and devices to users and apps. The goal of our channel program will be simple: Give service providers the tools, education, marketing support they need to accelerate this transition,” said Ted Roller, LogMeIn's vice president of channel development.
Here what LogMeIn says LogMeIn Elevate offers:
- “VIP monthly pricing on LogMeIn's remote support solution, LogMeIn Rescue, giving them options to deliver higher margin services to support users and cloud app usage across personal or work PCs, Macs, smartphones and tablets
- Discounts on LogMeIn's collaboration apps, join.me and Cubby
- Early access to AppGuru, LogMeIn's cloud app management solution, giving them the ability to manage users and policies across cloud apps, no matter where they are accessed or used

- Marketing support to help create and sell new managed services
