Stephen Brandt Named VP of Sales and Marketing of Blue Cod Technologies

By Kasey Schefflin-Emrich

Stephen Brandt, the former executive vice president and head of global sales and marketing at SunGard Insurance, was recently named the new vice president of sales and marketing of managed insurance services provider Blue Cod Technologies.

Brandt will be in charge of helping to increase sales at the company through an enhanced customer experience, strategic partnerships and integrated marketing. Blue Cod Technologies offers insurance solutions for the property and casualty industry.

Brandt will bring more than two decades of experience to his new role. In addition to working for SunGard Insurance, he previously held the role of vice president of sales at BPO services company SHPS, Inc. There he was responsible for creating and managing its strategic partnerships and direct and channel sales.

"Steve brings the needed structure, operational experience and proven sales performance to this important leadership role," Bob Bruce, president and CEO of Blue Cod Technologies, said in a statement. "As Blue Cod continues to grow and expand into new markets, Steve's strong combination of sales strategy, team management and ability to execute on plans will enable us to meet our aggressive sales objectives and fuel our positive business momentum."

Brandt is looking forward to working with Blue Cod Technologies, a company which he said has more insurance expertise than other managed service providers. He explained that he is committed to help Blue Cod reach its full potential.

"Blue Cod has yet to take advantage of the full market opportunity available to the company," Brandt said in a statement. "What I will bring to Blue Cod is both the strategic vision to find those markets and the tactical execution to secure them."

In other company news, Blue Cod Technologies launched its new Constant Coverage solution last month. The solution combines Blue Cod's customer, premium, claims and catastrophe and operational continuity services to allow carriers to efficiently respond to various support scenarios.
