Savvis Recognized as Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for European Managed Hosting Report

By Laura Stotler

Cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions provider Savvis has been named an industry leader by Gartner Inc. The company was chosen in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for European Managed Hosting report.

Savvis, a CenturyLink company, was previously named a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Managed Hosting, North America report in April, as well as the Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service last October. The new report is based on vendors' completeness of vision, which includes market understanding, product strategy and innovation as well as a variety of other criteria.

The Magic Quadrant reports also assess an organization's ability to execute on their vision, including capabilities, overall viability and customer experience. Savvis provides managed hosting services as well as a broad suite of cloud services. Solutions are delivered through data centers that are strategically located throughout the world. The company offers a complete portfolio of IT solutions, delivered as dedicated, shared, or hybrid offerings all the way to fully virtualized data centers.

"When it comes to selecting the right hosting partner, we know businesses have many choices in Europe," said Jeff Von Deylen, president of Savvis. "We believe this new Gartner research makes it clear that Savvis has the offerings, strategy and vision to help clients design and implement the right IT solutions to accelerate their businesses."

Parent company CenturyLink caters to enterprise customers with voice, data and managed services provided throughout the world. It maintains a high-quality fiber optic network as well as multiple data centers, and is also a provider of entertainment services through the CenturyLink Prism TV and DIRECTV brands.
