Companies and governments throughout the world rely extensively on their information systems and IT infrastructure to conduct business, complete transactions and support innovative communications. So links within the operation that complete monitoring and the protection of these systems is critical.
Centerity Systems Inc., has made a name for itself in the development of next-generation, enterprise-class and carrier-class monitoring solutions. These solutions address critical IT infrastructure and information systems. More recently, the company provided such a solution for the Israeli Air Force.
This project was nothing short of daunting as Centerity had the complicated task of protecting the security of a nation in one of the most unstable regions in the world. The country was relying on Centerity to shore up its IT infrastructure to ensure that the Air Force could defend the territorial integrity, sovereignty and existence of the State of Israel.
To maintain its IT assets, effectively reduce mean-time-to-restore (MTTR) and proactively prevent disruptions, the Air Force implemented the IT infrastructure monitoring and performance platform from Centerity. With deployment complete within just weeks and a new solution at a fraction of the cost, the Air Force enjoyed increased business service availability and a reduction in MTTR by as much as 80 percent.
Roi Keren, CEO of Centerity said during an interview with MSPToday that the company definitely saw trends of the cloud with “lots of customers are using the cloud more and more.”
“Lots of vendors are providing cloud services to their own customers. As a software company that provides monitoring solutions we need to cover this aspect as well and allow our customers to use this new technology and new opportunities and options in order to ensure their business,” Keren added.
Centerity does its best to differentiate itself in a saturated market. Keren pointed to quality and Centerity has the ability to provide a single platform that will be able to allow a company to monitor and understand the exact level of the business from a single pane of glass. Centerity is covering everything from the basic level, which is the infrastructure, up to the business service management and user experience.
In this process, according to Keren, everything is much easier to manage and much easier to maintain. There is also very low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and Centerity is actually making the software to work for the company rather than the company work for the software. It’s one of the perks of virtualization.
“I would say that 100 percent of our customers are moving more and more to virtualization, to virtualized environment,” said Keren. “If five years ago you had 80-90, even 100 percent relying on physical servers, today you have lots of virtual servers, virtual switches, everything becomes virtual. Centerity is designed to cover everything end to end.”
