ProfitBricks Expands Reseller Program

By David Delony

ProfitBricks, a provider of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (Iaas), is expanding its Channel Partner Program with its Reseller Program.

"ProfitBricks is determined to simplify the way cloud computing is sold through the channel," said ProfitBricks USA CEO, Bob Rizika. "Our clear pricing model and data center design tool make channel sales less complicated and potentially more lucrative for reseller partners. Customers want greater speed and higher flexibility in their infrastructure, and we can help resellers meet this growth opportunity."

The Reseller Program is targeted toward Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Value Added Resellers (VAR), IT consultants, system integrators and Independent Software Vendors (ISV).

Mojo Systems is one of the companies participating in the program.

"We joined the ProfitBricks Referral Partner Program a few months ago and since then we continue to grow our cloud business," said Steve Oono, vice president of sales at Mojo Systems. "Adding the reseller option enables Mojo Systems to continue to grow our professional services cloud-based recurring revenue."

Reseller partners get a 25-percent discount on ProfitBricks' cloud computing services, which they then resell to their clients. The partners handle the actual billing, sales, support and account provisioning.

ProfitBricks has a simplified pricing model, which makes it easier for resellers to figure out how much to charge their customers in turn. Resellers can also configure ProfitBricks services by using a graphical interface.

When they want to customize the services they're reselling, an API is available. Resellers also have the ability to co-market with ProfitBricks.

ProfitBbricks is also offering free cloud services to startups for a year. "Startups demand a cost-effective cloud computing alternative and ProfitBricks is answering that call," Rizika said in February. "Our unmatched overall performance using InfiniBand technology is an industry first, and current Foundation Program startups are already experiencing the benefits.”
