StarLeaf Calls through the Cloud

StarLeaf Calls through the Cloud

By Robbie Pleasant

StarLeaf has released a new cloud-based solution, designed to combine everything business users require for video communications into a single service: StarLeaf Call. With it, users can deploy video calls and conferences from just about anywhere, at any time, to reach anyone.

StarLeaf Call uses a common interface that’s easy to use with visual guidance for each step. Hardware endpoints can be deployed with a simple “plug and play,” featuring a touchscreen display that can also be replicated in Breeze, StarLeaf’s mobility software solution.

With StarLeaf Call, users can call anyone from a standards-based device, reaching endpoints of any kind, from rooms and computers to iPads. The voice and video call quality are assured for excellence, with screen sharing and video conferencing for up to 20 people. It also provides functionality such as call transfer, forward, video mail, call history, and more.

All calls are authenticated and encrypted, with a failsafe with full redundancy to keep everything online and connected. Provisioning and management is done through a single Web portal, keeping control simple yet secure.

"With StarLeaf Call we are first to deliver on what every other manufacturer or service provider promises in terms of ease-of-use and ease-of-deployment," says StarLeaf CEO, Mark Loney. "By taking the pain and cost of infrastructure out of the equation, and placing it in the cloud, we deliver scalable and affordable business quality video collaboration - to any size company whether they want one room or tens of thousands of connected users."

This is an impressive set of capabilities, available as a cloud service at competitive pricing. Its range of capabilities makes it a great choice for video conferencing, while it can reach a wide variety of endpoints, making it easier to get in touch with anyone, anywhere.
