Vaultive Joins Rackspace Cloud Tools Program with Support for Cloud Data Encryption

By Laura Stotler

Cloud data encryption solutions provider, Vaultive has joined the Rackspace Cloud Tools program. The company's solutions are geared toward maintaining the control, security and compliance of data that is processed by cloud-based services.

The Rackspace Cloud Tools Marketplace offers the company's more than 190,000 cloud customers a catalog of third-party developed applications designed for the management, monitoring, application deployment and security of cloud solutions. Vaultive is now part of the Rackspace catalog of applications that are compatible with The Rackspace Open Cloud.

Vaultive provides persistent encryption capabilities for Exchange servers, which complement existing Cloud Tools Marketplace solutions in the areas of cloud server firewalling, governance and automation. The company's offerings are also consistent with the Cloud Security Alliance's best practices for data ownership and control. They provide customers with a wide variety of options for deploying cloud-based services from Rackspace, including email-as-a-service.

Enterprise-grade cloud data encryption solutions from Vaultive let customers encrypt data at rest, data in transit and data in use within the cloud. Data is encrypted in a format that may be searched, sorted and index, with organizations' IT departments keeping control of the encryption keys. The technology addresses the issue of enabling businesses to maintain ownership and control of their data while it is processed and stored by cloud providers.

Vaultive solutions also address major cloud concerns about safeguarding intellectual property, meeting compliance requirements for data at rest, maintaining data residency and dealing with legal protections for data within the cloud.

"Rackspace is committed to delivering the most innovative applications, coupled with our Fanatical Support, to customers from across the cloud ecosystem via our Cloud Tools Marketplace," said Stephen Salas, cloud market development manager at Rackspace. "Risk-conscious organizations are still wrestling with structural concerns regarding how to control, secure and protect their data. We are pleased to have Vaultive joining the Cloud Tools Marketplace to offer technology that specifically addresses the need for organizations to retain full control of data, while experiencing the true benefits of cloud computing."

"Rackspace provides exceptional value to organizations of all sizes looking to build tailored computing solutions ranging from cloud hosting to dedicated hosting to hybrid hosting," said Elad Yoran, CEO of Vaultive. "We are pleased to work with Rackspace to bring the benefits of Vaultive's technology to Rackspace's diverse customer base."
