vCom's vManager Solution Emerges as Top TEM Solution of 2012

The flagship telecom expense management (TEM) solution from vCom Solutions, vManager, has been awarded the 2012 TEM Excellence Award from TMC’s own INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.

vManager is a cloud-based solution that allows businesses to manage both their telecom spending and their inventory. The key to vCom’s success, however, is that customers don’t just get the subscription to vManager. They also collaborate directly with vCom experts to improve network design and procurement, daily operations, business intelligence and financial operations.

“The vManager tool empowers our clients to take control over their telecom management, increasing visibility and reducing costs,” said vCom’s vice president of Technology, Adam Shawley. “Our clients find it to be a game-change for their organizations.”

vManager itself delivers organization for businesses as they struggle to organize their disparate telecom operations. The service organizes inventory, places all services on a single bill regardless of the carrier or location, and allocates all costs to the appropriate business units.

Additionally, vCom teams manage all tech support, services, contracts and orders. According to vCom, its solutions slash at least 20 percent of companies’ TEM costs, and companies can think of vCom teams as extensions of their own IT departments.

These comprehensive solutions and the potential for tremendous cost savings caught the eye of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine and TMC. “vCom has been recognized with an INTERNET TELEPHONY TEM Excellence Award for its advancements in TEM solutions and providing quality solutions in the marketplace,” stated Erik Linask, editorial director of INTERNET TELEPHONY.

Earlier this month, vCom released vManager Version 4.3. Improvements included enhancements to the invoice module, new functionality for wireless expense management and expanded reporting capabilities.

The wireless expense management module, for example, sends individual employees a report of what the company spends for their individual telecom expenses. Reporting of this nature tends to influence employees to self-regulate their expenses. Costs are broken down based on wireless usage, picture/video usage and wireless spend, giving employees areas in which to target their cost-cutting efforts.
