DXC Technology and Blackout Technologies Partner to Strengthen Enterprise Mobile Security

By Stefania Viscusi

Global technology services provider DXC Technology has partnered with U.K.-based Blackout Technologies to strengthen enterprise mobile security. The partnership aims to address the need for improved data protection and compliance management in today’s increasingly mobile workforce.

Mobile devices play a critical role in modern business operations, but they also introduce unique challenges around security and regulatory compliance. By combining DXC’s expertise in digital transformation with Blackout’s patented smart device management solution, the partnership delivers a powerful tool for safeguarding sensitive data and optimizing workplace productivity.

"Partnering with Blackout Technologies will help our customers protect their most trusted assets, their people, and data," said William Thomas, Americas Consulting Lead at DXC Technology. "By combining DXC's deep industry and IT services expertise with Blackout’s advanced security solutions, we are providing innovative solutions to better navigate the complexities of today's modern workforce."

Blackout’s solution provides organizations with the ability to control personal smart device functionality during work hours, effectively preventing unauthorized usage and protecting confidential information. This is especially important considering global compliance mandates such as GDPR, MiFID II, and PCI DSS.

For financial services industries, it ensures secure operations by limiting device functionality in sensitive areas, whether employees are working on-site or remotely. In fleet management, the technology enhances safety by restricting distractions for drivers operating company vehicles, enabling them to focus on the road.

The partnership also offers a significant productivity boost. With distractions minimized and device functionality tailored to work requirements, employees can maintain sharper focus, contributing to better performance and efficiency.

Mark Hadley, CEO of Blackout Technologies, added, "Our collaboration with DXC Technology marks a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionize data security and compliance. Together, we will empower businesses to stay ahead of data breaches and regulatory challenges."
