Carpathia and T5 Data Centers Partner on Managed Cloud, Hosting and Compliance Services

By Laura Stotler

In a new managed services arrangement, T5 Data Centers has teamed up with cloud provider Carpathia to deliver cloud, managed hosting, compliance and colocation services. Offerings will be geared toward both enterprises and federal agencies and provided via T5’s secure and redundant facilities.

Carpathia, which specializes in compliance services and managed hosting, will provide the on-site technical support component of the solution, offering 24x365 services. These will include incident response, hardware troubleshooting and repair, audit preparation and visual verification inspections. Carpathia will also provide private, hybrid and community cloud solutions as well as managed data center features as part of the joint arrangement.

The companies are focusing on enterprise customers in the digital media, healthcare and financial services sectors, as well as government entities. By teaming up, T5 and Carpathia can help customers comply with a number of standards including HIPAA, FISMA and DIACAP.

Carpathia recently announced its Continuous Assurance Platform (CAP) to help customers perform ongoing compliance assessment. The solution automates the collection and analysis of artifacts and control so that customers may get insights to address important compliance issues before it’s too late.

Based on a proprietary rules engine, CAP generates a score and measures customers’ adherence to any defined standard at any point in time. The resulting insights are extremely important as companies seek to avoid unnecessary audits and penalties for noncompliance.

"More of our customers are coming to us looking for a full suite of IT services and cloud solutions in combination with the robust design and reliable operations of T5's data centers," said Craig McKesson, EVP T5 Enterprise Solutions for T5 Data Centers. "By partnering with Carpathia, we can now meet any customer's data infrastructure needs, whether it's building out a new data center from the ground-up, or providing an enterprise-ready approach that combines T5's physical infrastructure with Carpathia's cloud and managed hosting expertise."
