The San Francisco-based information management software provider has added a "Mission Control" feature to its Axceclerate electronic discovery (eDiscovery) document review and analysis platform. In addition, the company has extended its cloud-based e-discovery platform with a self-service edition called Axcelerate SaaS, which is said to provide the control and flexibility of traditional on-premises software combined with the cost and stability benefits of cloud deployments.
Axcelerate SaaS is a simple subscription-based service with monthly fees based on capacity and data volumes, therefore offering a predictable and affordable pricing model with no upfront costs and no hidden fees.

David Horrigan, analyst and counsel at 451 Research said in a statement, “With attorney billable hours for document review having been traditionally the biggest cost in the discovery process, workflow capabilities are one of the most important attributes of eDiscovery review software,”
Axcelerate 5.2 offers Automated Review Prioritization uses machine learning to help connect the best reviewers with the most responsive content as early as possible. It includes concept of Smart Redactions, the ability to redact sensitive information from documents using point and click, search and entity recognition.
Compared to traditional on-premise eDiscovery deployments, Axcelerate SaaS removes the need for costly implementation, customization, maintenance, and capital costs for hardware or facilities. Axcelerate SaaS clients can also utilize Recommind's expert project management and consulting services to augment their own resource capabilities when needed.
Bob Tennant, CEO of Recommind, said in a statement, "We remain committed to driving the industry forward by creating cutting edge software features, such as Global Smart Redactions, to optimize and automate some of the most time consuming and painful processes litigation support teams face today.”
