C&A Consulting Offers Managed Technology Services for Financial Sector

By Laura Stotler

New York City technology consulting firm C&A Consulting LLC has announced its foray into the world of managed services. The company has rolled out Managed Technology Services (MTS) in an effort to meet the specific needs of the various financial services markets it serves.

C&A works with traditional banking and finance firms as well as startup, emerging and established hedge funds. The service provider wanted to create a managed offering tailored to the needs of these groups, especially with regard to meeting regulatory guidelines.

According to Noland Cheng, managing partner at C&A, the new MTS suite of offerings is designed to provide a cost-effective solution for solving critical business issues as well as boosting operational efficiencies for financial services clients. The new managed services may be customized to range from 10 hours of support per month to providing full-time, on-site staff to manage all IT functions.

The banking and finance industry is becoming a major consumer of the growing $142 billion managed services market. As financial services companies struggle to meet an increasing number of security and privacy mandates and regulations as well as store and secure ever-growing amounts of data, they are turning to MSPs to manage and monitor disparate IT infrastructures.

C&A’s core specializations include managed technology services for alternative investments and asset management; the mortgage, loan and real estate sector; broker dealer and wealth management; and technology and process services. Most of the MSP’s principals have held high-level positions at investment and finance firms, making them a valuable technology partner for the industry.

The company’s consulting initiatives include everything from business revenue acquisition to design and development of technology platforms. C&A will also conduct systems project reviews and RFP discovery and will manage and monitor the customer, accounting and operational processes. Additional services include review of compliance and operations process as well as regulatory and control reviews.

Because of the MSP’s longstanding work in the financial services sector, C&A has been able to sponsor a “Technology Incubator” initiative. This program is geared toward helping young financial firms develop and build out their businesses, from financing to IT infrastructure design and deployment.
