Ingram Micro Now Offers the SkyKick Migration Suite

By Rory Lidstone

Wholesale technology distributor Ingram Micro has picked up the SkyKick Migration Suite as part of its cloud solution provider portfolio. As such, the suite is now available as part of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace as a way to help channel partners move their customers to Office 365 more easily.

Indeed, the SkyKick Migration Suite is meant to help IT consultants, system integrators, managed service providers, value-added resellers, and other IT partners automate an entire Office 365 migration project from initial sales to project completion. It is able to do this by bucking the usual trend among Office 365 migration tools which tend to focus on moving server-side data. Instead, the SkyKick Migration Suite helps partners manage all of the essential steps of a migration project.

Best of all, SkyKick’s suite has been thoroughly tested as the company has so far helped hundreds of solution providers migrate thousands of customers to Office 365.

"Migrating a customer from hosted or on-premise to cloud-based solutions can be a major undertaking for channel partners because it requires a lot of time, expertise and energy," said Renee Bergeron, vice president of Managed Services and Cloud Computing at Ingram Micro North America, in a statement. "SkyKick's Migration Suite helps channel partners simplify the entire process and profitably move their customers' e-mail, calendars and more to the cloud. We're pleased to offer SkyKick as part of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace."

Earlier in the year, Ingram Micro entered into a partnership with Samsung to distribute the smartphone maker’s mobile smartphone and tablet accessories in the U.S.

As for Ingram Micro’s addition of the SkyKick Migration Suite to its Cloud Marketplace, channel partners should have access to the offering immediately. With it, they can enable customers to improve sales velocity, reduce project risk and complexity, and simplify the management of an Office 365 migration project.
