Intronis and Continuum Partner on Simplified Cloud Backups for MSPs and VARs

By Laura Stotler

Intronis and Continuum have teamed up on a solution designed to help MSPs and VARs save time and money. The day-to-day monitoring of Intronis cloud backups has been simplified and integrated on the Continuum SaaS Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform through the technical alliance.

MSPs will benefit from greater productivity as well as operational insights thanks to the partnership, and can then pass along better service levels and quicker turnaround times to their customers. Service providers will also have higher profit margin potential thanks to the time and cost saving benefits.

Features of the integrated solutions include an intuitive web-based API, enabling quick configuration and deployment, and the ability to monitor all Intronis backups via Continuum’s IT support portal. Automated ticketing is also enabled through the Continuum ticketing system, which helps streamline backup monitoring and increases service productivity. Data specific to the Intronis cloud backup is also available on the Continuum RMM platform, offering greater details about backup activity.

"Providing complete monitoring and management of backup and recovery is an essential part of any managed services solution set and the integration between Continuum and Intronis is the latest example of how we're enabling increased efficiency for our partners," said Dee Zepf, vice president of product management and technical services at Continuum.

"We are making it easier and more profitable for our mutual channel partners to deliver backup and recovery solutions as part of their managed IT services," added Chuck DeLouis, vice president of product management at Intronis, about the integration. "In 2014, Intronis channel partners can expect continued advancements in our technical integrations, as well as more emphasis on collaborative marketing resources that will help them differentiate, manage and grow their IT services business."
