InterCloud Announces Multi-Million Dollar Cloud and Services Contracts

By Laura Stotler

A number of new cloud contracts designed to serve the enterprise and service provider markets have been announced by InterCloud Systems, Inc. The company says the new cloud platform and professional services contracts are expected to generate from $3.5 million to $7 million in revenues this year.

InterCloud’s Professional Services Group is responsible for the contracts, which include a deal to manage 4G/LTE wire network upgrades and expansions for a wireless OEM. InterCloud will provide maintenance services to that company as well.

Another new contract entails professional services for network engineering, project management and other senior technical classifications for a major carrier. These will be necessary in support of the customer’s planned network expansions.

"Wireless carriers continue to expand and upgrade their networks, including the deployment of cloud and virtualization as part of their expansion strategy, resulting in robust demand for our services," said Mark Munro, CEO of InterCloud. "These newest contract awards, all with new enterprise clients, are yet another major step forward for InterCloud and further expands and strengthens our position as a leading service provider in the massive wireless industry."

The company has had a busy new year so far, announcing yesterday that it had completed its acquisition of Integration Partners-NY Corporation (IPC-NY). The move is meant to support InterCloud’s managed service offerings as well as bring new enterprise and service provider clients to the company.

Last year the company went public and spent a majority of its time building capital assets and laying plans for expansion. In November, InterCloud announced more than $2.5 million in new professional services contracts, with last year’s gross revenues expected to reach $25 million.
