independenceIT Sees Major Management Changes

By Laura Stotler

Big changes are underway at independenceIT (iIT), a provider of private-label cloud business productivity solutions. The company has revamped its leadership and announced a brand new team led by MSP cloud services specialist Jim Lippie.

Lippie, previously executive vice president of business development for iIT, has been promoted to CEO. Seth Bostock, who was the company's executive vice president of corporate development, has been named president and COO. The management shakeup will help promote iIT's Cloud Workspace Suite, a channel-only Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solution designed to deliver recurring revenue for MSPs, VARs and ISPs.

Lippie and Bostock have worked together leading an integrated, channel-only sales model that has proven to be vastly profitable for iIT. Year-over-year partner growth under their joint lead has been more than 200 percent for the company.

iIT's Cloud Workspace Suite enables MSPs and channel partners to rapidly deploy applications and services for their customers. The solution simplifies the delivery, administration and management of cloud and mobile services. The business productivity platform lets MSPs provide a cloud workspace for their clients cost effectively, from their own data centers.

Features include the ability for customer data to remain in its existing format, and current productivity applications may also be used. New applications are easily integrated into the existing cloud desktop, which saves time and money for partners and their clients. The platform supports close to 350 custom and off-the-shelf applications and is SSAE 16 SOC II compliant.

"As co-founder of iIT, a cloud software business that we began in 1999, I am very excited to have Jim Lippie succeed me as CEO, he is the right leader with the energy, vision and experience to drive our company forward," said Charles 'Chip' Buck, who will now become chief technology officer. "I also couldn't be more delighted to have Seth Bostock advance to president and COO. Seth has built a rock-solid foundation for our company, positioned us for significant growth and this combination has attracted 'A' players like Jim to share in our bright future."
