Adapt IT Honored for Providing Managed Cloud as a Service

By Laura Stotler

When it comes to "Managed Cloud as a Service," Adapt IT is coming out on top. The company, a provider of specialized business applications for a variety of markets, was recently honored as the SAP Africa Partner of the Year for providing just that at the SAP Partner Summit.

Adapt IT offers an SAP ERP Human Capital Management solution, including localized payroll functionality to meet a number of countries' needs throughout Africa. The solution is available to customers of all sizes, in markets like manufacturing, mining, higher education and financial services.

According to Pankaj Bhula, head of strategic partners for the Africa, Ecosystems and Channel Division of SAP South Africa, adding the "Managed Cloud as a Service" category to the annual awards program is a testament to the rapid adoption and maturity of cloud services.

“Delivering SAP solutions via managed cloud as a service offering requires a combination of technological expertise and business acumen that places these providers at the forefront of where cloud is going within the SAP ecosystem,” said Bhula. “We congratulate Adapt IT on its well-deserved receipt of this award and for its outstanding partnership with SAP. Partners like Adapt IT are our force multipliers and today, more than ever, they are essential to our customers’ success.”

Based in South Africa, Adapt IT is a growing ICT group with more than 270 employees and offices in Ireland and New Zealand. Services include support for Microsoft, Oracle and SAP, and the company also provides business intelligence services, training and recruitment and staffing services.

“We are a dynamic company with the energy and vision to deliver cutting-edge IT services," said Sbu Shabalala, Adapt IT CEO. "Managed cloud as a service offers clients a way to gain flexibility and scalability with minimal risk and maximum benefits. We are proud to be defining it in the SAP world."

"Adapt IT cloud solutions obfuscates the complexity of delivering IT services to our customers," added Shabalala. "Customers need not worry about the underlying IT infrastructure and can focus on the use, development, or administration of the services themselves. This is a powerful paradigm shift as our cloud solutions are always on, infinitely elastic, highly reliable, secure, and return a solid return on investment."
