CloudLink Secure VSA Certified Vblock Set to Help MSPs, Channel Partners Leverage Encryption in the Cloud

Cloud security and management solutions provider, AFORE Solutions Inc., announced its virtual storage appliance (VSA) has been certified Vblock Ready by VCE to run on Vblock Systems.

The CloudLink Secure VSA certification enables mutual channel partners, like managed service providers (MSP) as well as enterprise customers, of the two companies to leverage CloudLink's encryption solution to enhance and accelerate the adoption of Vblock Systems.

The certification was conducted by Superna, which has been authorized by VCE to offer Vblock System certifications to members of the VCE Technology Alliance Partner program. MSPs, partners and customers may utilize the CloudLink Secure VSA to ensure regulatory compliance with mandates like HIPAA, PCI and SOX – as well as protection of sensitive data.

The CloudLink solution provides storage and data encryption, enabling customers to offer AES-256 level encryption for sensitive data in both public and private clouds without compromising on performance.

Vblock Systems utilizes technologies from Cisco, EMC and VMware to offer a pre-configured and rapidly deployable converged infrastructure for cloud computing.

When working together, the solutions offer a secure, optimized and managed at-rest and in-motion solution. Encryption is covered from the enterprise data center to the cloud computing infrastructure within a multi-tenant cloud security environment.

Users may take advantage of a single enterprise security solution without the need for infrastructure changes to components like virtual machines, workloads or hardware platforms.

Specifications include AES-256 storage volume encryption of data at rest, and an AES-256-encrytpted VPN tunnel for data in motion. The CloudLink solution also features encrypted storage via NFSv3, Server message Block 2 and iSCSI and a management tool suite accessible through a browser or VMware vCenter.

The automated deployment of Secure SVSA is also supported using vCloud Director API.
