MSP Expo 2025 Platinum sponsor Cynet makes a big promise to MSPs and SMEs today — maximum protection via essential security technologies, delivered in an easy-to-use, automated platform.
In Cynet’s words, “Don’t waste your precious time and money on an overly expensive and complicated multi-product IT security stack!” Backed by its team of security experts that are available 24/7, Cynet’s all-in-one platform avails purpose-built, high-caliber cybersecurity capabilities. And when you survey everything on offer, it’s no wonder why 2024 was Cynet’s strongest year yet; the company surpassed all of its growth goals, doubled net new ARR, and achieved a record efficiency score.
Still, there’s always room to expand further; to really up the ante, as the saying goes.
That’s why we’re talking about the following news:
This week, Cynet announced the appointment of Jason Magee as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Previously the CEO of ConnectWise, Magee is succeeding Cynet founder and former CEO Eyal Gruner, who is set to join Cynet’s Board of Directors (and will serve as a strategic advisor for Cynet’s executive team, going forward). It was under Gruner’s leadership that Cynet was able to achieve its aforementioned growth, and he is confident that Magee will lead Cynet towards even greener pastures.
“It has been an extraordinary privilege to lead Cynet and, as Cynet scales globally from a position of strength, I am confident that Jason is the ideal leader to chart our next chapter. Like all of us at Cynet, he believes cybersecurity should be intuitive, accessible and affordable, and his efforts will be transformative for teams around the world.”
So, let’s learn a bit more about Magee.
With 20+ years of leadership experience, Magee has provenly steered technology companies through stages of explosive growth; this ain’t his first rodeo, is what we’re saying. At ConnectWise specifically, Magee strategically guided the company’s initiatives, spearheading cybersecurity expansions to increase ARR by 300% (and boost profitability by a whopping 500%, to boot). With thousands of employees under his management, Jason drove superb development of an ecosystem comprising tens of thousands of MSPs, solidifying ConnectWise’s position as a market leader in the channel.
And at Cynet, he’s looking to put the pedal to the metal.
“I am so excited to join Cynet as CEO at a pivotal moment in the company’s success story, as there is no greater honor than to lead a company whose purpose is protection,” Magee explained. “Eyal has built an incredible business based on innovation and trust, and we have a strong team in place to build on that legacy.”
“And as cyberattacks increase in volume and sophistication,” Magee added, “managed cybersecurity services are in record demand by SMEs and Cynet is very much meeting that demand, truly resonating in the market. So, as our team embarks on this journey together, I am motivated by the tremendous opportunity to accelerate growth for Cynet while delivering even greater value for our partners and customers worldwide.”
