Cybersecurity Powerhouses ESET and Stellar Cyber Forge Deeper Alliance

By Greg Tavarez

Cybersecurity partnerships often arise from the realization that no single company can effectively address the ever-expansive, multifaceted threat landscape alone. Companies specializing in different areas of cybersecurity (such as endpoint security, threat intelligence or cloud security) can enhance their offerings by collaborating. This allows them to and their collaborators to strengthen their offerings, ultimately providing more comprehensive solutions to customers, and gaining a competitive edge in the market.

Furthermore, partnerships foster innovation by enabling the cross-pollination of ideas and technologies. By working together, companies develop more sophisticated and integrated solutions that go beyond what any individual company could achieve independently. This collaborative approach benefits not only the partnering companies but also their customers, who gain access to more robust and effective cybersecurity protections.

ESET, a renowned name in endpoint security, and Stellar Cyber, a pioneer of Open XDR technology, are not new to this. In this vein, they recently announced a substantial expansion of their already-established strategic partnership to deliver better threat detection and response capabilities in the face of the modern cyber threat landscape.

Building upon the success of their initial alliance, the two companies have taken their integration to new heights, meticulously aligning their development teams. ESET and Stellar Cyber engineered a suite of automated solutions designed to streamline threat correlation, enhance detection accuracy and dramatically accelerate response times. This then allows organizations to proactively combat cyberattacks with a unified approach.

A key pillar of this expanded partnership lies in the integration with Stellar Cyber's open XDR platform, using the strengths of ESET's flagship products:

  • ESET Cloud Office Security: This cloud email security solution for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace mitigates the threat of email-borne attacks. Integrated with Stellar Cyber's XDR platform, ECOS expands organizations' "line of sight" across endpoints and collaboration tools to provide a more holistic view of potential threats.

  • ESET Threat Intelligence: This powerful tool delivers curated threat insights through 15 TAXII feeds, including dedicated feeds for ransomware and advanced persistent threats (APTs). Integrating ETI with Stellar Cyber's platform means security teams gain access to real-time intelligence.

“Our partnership with Stellar Cyber has already brought dividends to our customers,” said Pavol Balaj, Chief Business Officer at ESET. “However, as ESET seeks to help customers handle the threat landscape more easily by focusing on prevention first, the added value of ECOS and ETI should further enable security analysts – regardless of their expertise level – to deliver consistent security outcomes.”

With data from ESET PROTECT, ECOS and ETI, Stellar Cyber's platform sets a new bar for the level of visibility across the entire attack surface, which encompasses endpoints, email, cloud and network environments. Security teams gain a complete understanding of the threats facing their organization.

The co-developed solutions are designed to simplify threat detection and remediation processes, which reduces the operational burden on security teams. Automation streamlines workflows to free up valuable time for analysts to focus on more strategic tasks.

ESET's globally sourced, real-time threat intelligence feeds directly into Stellar Cyber's platform. Security teams then proactively identify and respond to emerging threats, which then enhances the precision and effectiveness of incident response activities.

And lastly, the combined solutions are designed to scale to meet the diverse needs of enterprises and MSSPs. This simplifies deployment and ensures efficient and effective protection across a wide range of environments.

With these combined solutions, the two companies only embolden security teams to proactively defend against cyberattacks, minimize disruption and safeguard their organization's critical assets.

"Expanding our partnership with ESET demonstrates our commitment to delivering not just integrated solutions but deeply collaborative innovation," said Andrew Homer, Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Stellar Cyber. "Together, we’re empowering security teams with comprehensive XDR capabilities that correlate data from endpoints, email, cloud and network environments into a single, actionable view, closing critical visibility gaps."
