The proliferation of data across today’s modernization-focused environments — of course, coupled with semi-nascent risks associated with technologies like generative AI — altogether presents businesses with escalating challenges involving the safeguarding of highly sensitive information, intellectual property, and more.
This is why Forcepoint continues to enter the fray.
Forcepoint is a distinguished provider of comprehensive, data-first cybersecurity solutions. Its long-term mission? Foster trusting environments that account for an expansive range of cyber behaviors in order to proactively safeguard teams’ digital identities and critical data. By unifying security policies and leveraging AI-powered automation, Forcepoint enables customers to secure their data wherever it resides — on the web, in the cloud, you name it — while simplifying compliance with rapidly evolving regulations.
And in recent Forcepoint-related news, the company made an end-of-year announcement that other businesses will want to know about:
Forcepoint officially appointed Rick Hanson as President of Go-to-Market.
Quick context: Hanson brings 30+ years of leadership experience, including two decades as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He has served as President at Delinea, as Advisor at Strata Identity, as an Advanced Cyber Security Center (ACSC) board member, etc. (This “etc” includes his CRO role at Brightcove, exec positions at CA Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, Symantec and RSA, and his career in the U.S. Air Force which led him to serve as IT Director for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where his expertise in cryptography and securing IT operations were of great value.)
In this newly created role, Hanson a.) will report directly to Ryan Windham, Forcepoint’s CEO, b.) will be responsible for scaling global go-to-market teams that drive dynamic strategies which align with customers’ need (while further solidifying Forcepoint’s customer-first culture), and c.) is expected to unify these teams to amplify Forcepoint’s commitment to helping enterprises and governments via the company’s Data Security Everywhere architecture.
As Windham put it, “Under Rick’s leadership, Sales and Customer Success will deliver even greater value, ensuring that every customer not only meets their security objectives but also gains a strategic edge in their digital and AI transformations.”
“Rick’s extensive expertise and mission-driven focus make him the perfect fit,” Windham added, “and he’ll ensure that our customers realize that success isn’t just a milestone; it’s a continuous journey that we’re glad he’s a part of.”
In Hanson’s own words, “Forcepoint has always been ahead of the curve, pioneering data loss prevention (DLP) and redefining how organizations approach data security. What excites me most is how Forcepoint’s Data Security Everywhere architecture allows businesses to protect their data comprehensively while empowering their people to work productively anywhere. By unifying policies and automating visibility, classification and protection at scale, we’re transforming data security from a pain point into a business enabler. I’m proud to be joining a team that’s not just leading the market but reshaping what’s possible in cybersecurity.”
