MSP Expo Silver Sponsor Granite Secures Patent for Network Deployment Tool

By Greg Tavarez

The winter chill has settled in, readers. As the holiday season approaches, many are naturally seeking warmth and comfort. But beyond the cozy firesides and festive cheer, a different kind of innovation is brewing.

In the technology world, where ideas are the new currency, a recent patent filing has ignited curiosity.

Granite Telecommunications announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently issued a new patent for its Greenix technology, a low-code workflow editor designed to streamline and automate the most complex network deployments.

Granite is a telecommunications provider that offers advanced solutions to businesses and government agencies across the U.S. and Canada. With over $1.8 billion in revenue, the company serves a decent portion of Fortune 100 companies, managing millions of voice and data lines. Granite is also Silver sponsor of MSP Expo 2025, taking place February 11-13, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Granite's focus on simplifying complex telecommunications needs has driven its growth, which has allowed customers to consolidate services. Their suite of solutions includes access, UCaaS, mobile services and managed network services.

Granite created Greenix to deliver on one client's request to activate 6,000 on-premises devices in only five months. The tool helped Granite successfully deliver the project on time and with precision, deploying up to 150 devices per day during the project’s most demanding phases.

Greenix allows on-site technicians to launch the application on their smartphones and follow intuitive prompts to secure and rack equipment, activate services, run speed tests and perform diagnostics — all in real-time.

And, since its inception, Greenix has become the backbone of Granite's deployment strategy by powering over 75% of their activations. This technological leap has yielded impressive results: a 30% surge in first-time-right activations and a 50% reduction in on-site technician time.

"Greenix has been a game-changer for our deployment process," said Adam Weiner, Vice President of Technology at Granite and developer of the Greenix platform. "With this patent, Granite is strengthening its leadership in orchestration technology, giving customers the ability to scale deployments like never before.”

The patent is the second Granite received this year for solutions from Granite Labs, the company's innovation center. In May, Granite was awarded a patent for edgeboot, an AI-driven network management device that detects issues and autonomously executes actions, such as automatic rebooting.

“Granite Labs' latest patent win is yet another testament to Granite's commitment to innovation designed to meet customers' needs,” said Granite President and CEO Rob Hale. “Greenix has already helped our customers drive measurable results by making network deployment smarter, faster and more cost-effective.”

Granite Telecommunications is a Silver sponsor of MSP Expo, taking place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, February 11-13, 2025. MSP Expo is the premier event for MSPs, offering a three-day experience combining conference education, networking opportunities, an exhibit hall full of the latest technologies and solutions to help MSPs build their business, and more. Granite will be in booth #2232 in the exhibit hall.
