Sygnia and Wiz Partner on New MDR Solution to Defend Against Real-Time Threats

By Alex Passett

Sygnia, Wiz, and innovative, team-focused services that are truly secure.

Let’s get right into it, readers.

“Beat attackers. Stay secure.” is Sygnia’s driving call to action, and the company lives and breathes by it; fortifying defenses, containing threats, thwarting bad actors, and keeping important operations up and running. The global cyber readiness and response team at Sygnia helps today’s businesses bolster their cyber resilience measures; Sygnia leverages its experts’ collective decades of extensive digital combat experiences to support the entire cybersecurity journey for businesses in need.

Then, Wiz. Led by another highly experienced troupe (i.e. trusted by 45% of Fortune 100 companies, and with more than 5 million cloud workloads currently protected), Wiz is on a mission to help businesses create secure cloud environments that accelerate successes and the great impacts therein. By creating a normalizing layer between cloud environments, Wiz’s platform enables teams to rapidly identify and completely remove mission-critical threats.

There’s a lot of shared good between Sygnia and Wiz; I’ve made sure to use the word “team” while describing each company, in fact, because MSP Today readers know how much this line of work is about teamwork, rather than efforts in siloes.

“Siloed security tools and scanners — even best-in-class — simply can’t provide the perspective that today’s security professionals need,” explained Assaf Rappaport, Wiz’s CEO. “Securing resources in the cloud requires a fundamentally new approach, and Wiz gives security teams the insights they need to mitigate risks and unlock innovation.”

And this is precisely why we’re talking about the following:

Sygnia has announced its partnership with Wiz. By integrating Wiz Defend into its Sygnia MDR services offering, threat detection capabilities for joint customers get an exceptional upgrade.

Specifically, this collab combines Wiz Defend Cloud Detection and Response (CDR) with Sygnia’s incident response (IR)-driven approach, providing enterprise-wide visibility across IT and OT networks (both cloud-based and on-prem) and 24/7 threat hunting, real-time response from battle-tested IR experts, and more. This empowers the neutralization of cloud-based attacks, works to eliminate alert fatigue, and optimize SecOps for MSPs, as a whole.

According to the official announcement, “The combined value herein will streamline security for organizations seeking to eliminate blind spots and telemetry gaps in order to improve cloud incident response readiness, multi-cloud threat detection, investigation, and threat hunting.” This also entails additional remediation-centric wider coverage into potential vulnerabilities, tune-out-the-noise threat detection that merges Wiz’s prioritized risk data and Sygnia’s proprietary detection rules, faster response times, etc.

“To keep complex environments continuously secure in the face of an endlessly evolving threat landscape, you need complete visibility, purpose-built technology, powerful detection capabilities, and a deep understanding of attack behavior. This makes Wiz and Sygnia well matched and a powerful offering for both Wiz and Sygnia customers alike,” said Amir Becker, SVP Global Cyber Services, Sygnia. “We’re looking forward to bringing an IR-driven approach to cloud security with the talented Wiz team and giving organizations the peace of mind they’re searching for.”

“WIN partners are key to the success of Wiz Defend,” added Oron Noah, VP Product Extensibility & Partnerships, Wiz. “Customers want agility, choice, and to work with the best of the best – thanks to WIN, they get it in one place while also reinventing threat detection in the cloud. All of us at Wiz are immeasurably grateful for the amazing work of partners like Sygnia as they tackle real security challenges and innovate at scale.”
