GTT Introduces New Global Platform to Simplify Enterprise Networking

By Stefania Viscusi

GTT Communications, a provider of networking and security services for multinational enterprises, launched GTT Envision, a platform designed to simplify the management and orchestration of enterprise networks.

Built on one of the world’s largest Tier 1 backbones, GTT Envision addresses complex networking and security challenges by unifying global security, cloud, and networking solutions.

“With the rapid growth of data traffic, increased traffic distribution, and the evolving threat landscape, enterprises must be able to simply and securely connect people and machines to data and applications anywhere in the world,” said Ed Morche, CEO, GTT.

“GTT Envision delivers a unified approach to network and security management, providing enhanced visibility, insight, orchestration, and control through a single partner, platform, and digital experience. Moving forward, GTT Envision will enable us to usher in a new era of simplicity and deliver greater technology together with our customers across the globe.”

The platform integrates three key components:

  • EnvisionCORE: A global internet backbone and distributed computing platform with expanded software-defined networking (SDN) capabilities. It allows end-to-end service virtualization across six continents. Recent enhancements include new Network Function Virtualization (NFV) nodes in key U.S. locations and expanded connectivity through additional points of presence in Texas and Portugal.
  • EnvisionEDGE: Delivers virtualized networking, security, and cloud functions via managed customer premise devices, streamlining the deployment of services such as SD-WAN, Managed Firewall, and cloud compute. Enterprises can add or change functions without replacing physical devices, enhancing agility.
  • EnvisionDX: The platform's digital interface, offers centralized management for networking and security policies, allowing enterprises to optimize application performance and network control. The company said it has plans to further enhance EnvisionDX with an AI engine for actionable insights and on-demand service composition.

“GTT Envision breaks traditional paradigms in how enterprises consume networking, cloud and security,” said Fletcher Keister, Chief Product and Technology Officer, GTT. “Our technology evolves the edge to finally match the ‘as a service’ flexibility enterprises are used to from cloud computing platforms. The GTT Envision platform helps businesses consistently deploy and manage connectivity, security, cloud and networking functions in real-time, wherever needed. We wrap this global capability with our people and expertise, partnering with our customers to deliver on their secure networking goals and strategic business outcomes.”
