TD SYNNEX Invests in Brazilian Cloud Future with IPsense Acquisition

By Greg Tavarez

Digital transformation in Latin America is a bona fide driving force for economic growth and competitiveness. Companies across the region are increasingly adopting digital technologies to streamline operations, improve customer experiences, and tap into new markets.

For example, internet in Latin America jumped from 43% to 78%, according to data from the Latin America Digital Transformation Report 2023 by Atlántico. That same report also placed Brazil and Mexico among "the top 10 countries with the largest digital populations," accounting for 282 million users in 2023.

This shift likely involves the use of cloud computing, AI, big data analytics and other advanced tools to modernize business processes and enhance efficiency.

Suffice it to say, the digital transformation occurring in Latin America is an opportunity for distributors. This is a chance for them to use their digital platforms to expand their market reach, offer value-added services and differentiate themselves from competitors.

Making a move in that regard is TD SYNNEX, a global technology distributor, which recently announced the acquisition of IPsense Cloud Migration, a cloud solutions provider based in Brazil. This strategic move aims to strengthen TD SYNNEX's position in the Brazilian market and expand its portfolio of cloud services.

IPsense Cloud Migration brings experience and expertise in cloud migration and management services. Their understanding of the Brazilian IT landscape and customer needs will be instrumental in accelerating TD SYNNEX's growth in the region.

By combining IPsense Cloud Migration's capabilities with TD SYNNEX's extensive global reach and resources, the combined entity will be well-positioned to offer a suite of cloud solutions to customers across Brazil.

“The addition of IPsense Cloud Migration business will significantly strengthen our position and the position of our resellers as key players in the region's digital transformation journey,” said Otavio Lazarini, President, Latin America and Caribbean, TD SYNNEX. “We are now better equipped to deliver our resellers scalable, secure and cutting-edge cloud solutions tailored to the unique needs of our partners and their customers in the region. The creation of the Cloud competence center underscores our dedication to empowering our partners with the resources they need to thrive in the cloud ecosystem.”

By expanding its presence in Brazil (a major market in the region), TD SYNNEX is contributing to the adoption of cloud-based technologies and services. This move allows businesses in Brazil to use the benefits of cloud computing, such as increased flexibility, scalability and cost-effectiveness.

As for partners, TD SYNNEX will provide them with a range of cloud solutions and services. This could include enhanced support, training, and marketing resources. Additionally, partners may benefit from increased market reach and access to new business opportunities.

"Becoming part of TD SYNNEX is an exciting milestone for us as it paves the way for unprecedented growth opportunities in the market. Joining TD SYNNEX will let us provide even more value to partners in Brazil and eventually more broadly in LAC,” said Luiz Herculano, Founding Partner and Director, IPsense. “By combining our resources and expertise, we will scale our business by offering our skills to the reseller channel, driving transformation and delivering exceptional results.”

The completion of the acquisition is contingent upon customary closing conditions and is expected to close within 30 to 90 days.
