Readers, we’re familiar with the Amazon Web Service (AWS) and its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Accelerate Program, right? Were I a betting man, I’d wager many of y’all are familiar, indeed.
That said, here’s some long-story-short context for anyone who might need it:
The AWS ISV Accelerate Program is a co-sell program for businesses that offer provenly impactful software solutions that run on (or integrate with) AWS. This helps teams drive new business and – per its name – accelerate sales cycles by connecting participating ISVs with AWS Sales. It also involves businesses’ solutions being included in an AWS Account Manager-facing library; this drives greater visibility, prioritizes access to AWS’ co-sell support team, and opens the door for other appealing AWS incentives.
Back in June, I penned an article about Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity solutions provider Soracom joining this program. (Any interested can check that out here.)
Today, we’ve got a managed services angle to cover here.
On Monday, Cato Networks officially announced its acceptance into the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, as well.
Cato, as MSP Today’s Greg Tavarez has described, “delivers reliable enterprise and networking in one cloud platform.” With Cato’s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)-centric solutions, organizations can “replace costly and rigid legacy infrastructure with an open and modular SASE architecture based on SD-WAN, a purpose-built global cloud network, and an embedded security stack.”
Additionally, Cato was recently recognized as a Leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Single-Vendor SASE, and it stands to reason that its ability to converge security and networking into a single, cloud-native platform was attractive for AWS. With said platform, AWS customers are now enabled to support, quote, “most technical and business requirements globally, at scale, with maximum uptime and optimal performance, today and in the future, without increasing complexity, effort, costs, and business risk,” according to the official press release.
That’s a whole bundle of SASE success, if you ask me.
"Cato joining the AWS ISV Accelerate Program is a significant step forward in our relationship with AWS," shared Alon Alter, Chief Business Officer at Cato Networks. "We look forward to working closely with AWS to transform the IT security market and help AWS customers join the SASE revolution.”
