SentinelOne's PurpleAI Joins Advantage's MDR Arsenal

By Greg Tavarez

MDR has traditionally relied on analysts sifting through security alerts and responding to incidents. Now, generative AI can supercharge this process by automating tasks and providing unique capabilities.

GenAI analyzes vast amounts of data to identify subtle patterns and anomalies that might escape human analysts. It also generates realistic simulations of attacks. GenAI streamlines incident response by automatically investigating alerts. This frees up security teams to focus on complex situations and strategic planning.

Additionally, GenAI generates customized incident response playbooks tailored to an organization's specific IT infrastructure and security posture and creates realistic but anonymized data that mimics real-world network traffic or user behavior.

To summarize, GenAI will transform MDR from a reactive process to a proactive one. And SentinelOne and Advantage are poised to deliver it to enterprises today.

SentinelOne is an autonomous AI-powered cybersecurity platform that allows the world to run securely by creating intelligent, data-driven systems that think for themselves, stay ahead of complexity and risk and evolve on their own.

Advantage, a trusted New Zealand managed service, networking and security provider, has been a SentinelOne partner for four years and won the company’s Asia Pacific and Japan Partner of the Year Award in 2023. It provides NCSC Malware Free Networks threat intelligence via SentinelOne and holds a high SentinelOne SIREN incident response and containment certification available to SentinelOne partners.

The long-time partners recently announced that Advantage will integrate SentinelOne’s PurpleAI, an AI security analyst, into its MDR service. This move will help organizations of all sizes better defend against AI-driven attacks with AI-driven solutions.

“Advantage is one of our premier partners across New Zealand and APJ, and we are pleased to be working with them to deliver comprehensive security without compromise to customers across the region,” said Jim Cook, NZ Sales Director, SentinelOne. “SentinelOne pioneered AI-powered security and we will continue to innovate to transform how security teams manage the complexity of their environments and defend threats.”

Advantage Protect MDR boasts a one-stop shop approach to security, built on the rock-solid foundation of SentinelOne's technology. This translates to enterprise-level protection spanning everything from endpoints to servers and even cloud-based systems.

With the integration of Purple AI, Advantage can augment the skills of its security team and supercharge their efforts through an advanced AI security solution that not only creates complex data queries from natural language but anticipates what security analysts need to do and recommends next steps.

“Many vendors are talking about generative AI, but SentinelOne is actually delivering it with technology that is transforming the way security operations work,” said Brad Pearpoint, Managing Director, Advantage. “Together, with our managed service offerings, we can make top-tier Security Operations Centers a reality for every business.”
