We highlight across MSP Today the ongoing challenge for organizations to strengthen their cybersecurity defenses. Because of those challenges, organizations turn to MSPs for their solutions to combat cyber threats that always evolve. Solutions that address this need include curated threat intelligence feeds, AI-powered investigation tools and MDR services.

Cobalt Iron and IBM Partner on Secure Backup for Virtual Servers

Cobalt Iron, a provider of data protection solutions, announced a new offering with IBM to simplify backup for enterprises migrating applications to IBM Power Virtual Server. The solution, Secure Automated Backup with Compass, protects AIX and Linux systems and databases on the platform. Customers can order the service through the IBM Cloud Catalog for a streamlined backup and restore experience.

CyberArk Launches MSP Console to Enhance Managed Security Services

Cybersecurity firm CyberArk unveiled a new tool, CyberArk MSP Console. It is designed to streamline operations for managed service providers.

The console offers a central dashboard for MSPs to view and manage customer deployments of the CyberArk Identity Security Platform. This improves scalability and simplifies the process of protecting customer identities across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Stellar Cyber Introduces Tool for Improved Threat Detection

Security company Stellar Cyber launched the MITRE ATT&CK Coverage Analyzer, a free tool for existing customers. This analyzer helps security teams assess the effectiveness of their threat detection strategies by visualizing how different data sources impact their ability to identify threats based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework. This allows for informed decisions on selecting data sources to optimize threat coverage.

Trellix Announces Email Security Solution for Microsoft Office 365

Cybersecurity company Trellix released Trellix Email Security for Microsoft Office 365, aiming to provide superior protection compared to Microsoft's built-in security features. Trellix highlights the increasing prevalence of malicious campaigns evading Microsoft Defender for Office, emphasizing the need for alternative security solutions.

Their offering combines threat detection, intelligence, and security expertise to safeguard email and collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint from phishing attempts, ransomware, and other attacks.

Apptega Secures Growth Capital for Continuous Security and Compliance Platform

Apptega, a company specializing in cybersecurity compliance solutions for managed service providers and security service providers, announced securing $15 million in growth capital.

The investment will fuel the development of their continuous security and compliance platform, which helps service providers deliver real-time security assessments and meet industry regulations for their clients.

Apptega's platform is designed to streamline compliance workflows and empower service providers to offer comprehensive compliance solutions.

Intel 471 Acquires Cyborg Security to Bolster Threat Hunting Capabilities

Cyber threat intelligence provider Intel 471 announced the acquisition of Cyborg Security. This move strengthens Intel 471's threat hunting offerings by incorporating Cyborg Security's expertise and the Hunter Platform.

The acquisition reflects the growing convergence of CTI and threat hunting practices within the cybersecurity industry. By integrating these capabilities, Intel 471 aims to provide organizations with a comprehensive solution for intelligence-led threat hunting, improving the effectiveness and return on investment of their security programs.
