Wildix UK and Ireland Shake Up Leadership for Growth and Innovation

The global UC market is seeing its fair share of growth, driven by the increasing adoption of remote work models. In fact, a report by Polaris Market Research suggests the market value stands at $71.78 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $186.28 billion by 2032. This surge is directly linked to the need for effective communication and collaboration tools in today's geographically dispersed workforces.

Beyond the remote work phenomenon, key technological advancements play a crucial role in propelling the UC market forward. The Internet of Things is a prime example as it offers integration of various devices and applications within a UC platform. This enhances functionality and streamlines workflows for businesses of all sizes.

Additionally, businesses place growing emphasis on customer experience and security. UC systems that facilitate rapid response times and robust cybersecurity measures are becoming increasingly important. These features allow companies to deliver exceptional customer service while safeguarding sensitive information.

When talking about the UC market and regions around the world, the UK presents a particularly interesting case study within the global UC landscape. According to Grand View Research, the UK market captured nearly 14% of Europe's UC revenue share in 2022. This growth is boosted by the UK government's commitment to digital transformation initiatives. These investments create UC adoption and creates a more connected and efficient business environment.

A player in the UC market, with its UCaaS solutions, is Wildix. Wildix enhances the efficiency and productivity of companies, particularly those with a focus on sales, and is set on transforming business communication and collaboration across various sectors.

Seeing the revenue opportunity due to the growth in the UK, Wildix announced a strategic leadership transition designed to propel the company's market growth. Rob Loakes will take over as Wildix UK Country Manager, succeeding Ian Rowan who steps in as the CEO of x-hoppers. Change is effective immediately.

Loakes brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Since joining the company in 2017 as senior channel manager, he has gained a better understanding of Wildix's operations, its partner network and the evolving UCaaS landscape in the UK.

“I am thrilled to lead Wildix UK at such a pivotal time,” said Loakes. “The UCaaS market is expanding rapidly, and I am excited to drive our growth and continue to innovate in this vibrant market.”

His knowledge, combined with his proven leadership skills, will be crucial in driving Wildix's expansion and strengthening its position within the UK market.

Wildix is a Silver sponsor of MSP Expo, taking place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, February 11-13, 2025.
