Blackpoint Cyber Pledges Stronger MSP Cybersecurity with Microsoft Alliance

By Greg Tavarez

Cyber attacks are on the rise. I mean, just look at the major incidents reported by the Center for Strategies and International Studies.

The rise in cyber attacks prompted MSPs to seek more robust end-to-end threat detection, response and remediation capabilities. The most effective security posture combines preventive and proactive solutions to safeguard endpoints from cloud environments.

Blackpoint Cyber specializes in MDR services for MSPs. They focus on protecting MSPs and their clients from cyber attacks by offering a comprehensive security ecosystem.

As mentioned, Blackpoint's core strength lies in its MDR technology, which combines real-time threat detection with endpoint security. This allows them to identify and neutralize suspicious activity – like hackers trying to move laterally within a network – in its earliest stages. They also boast response times to swiftly contain and remove the threat.

Blackpoint also positions itself as a partner for MSPs by offering a complete security solution rather than just individual products. This "ecosystem" includes advanced cybersecurity technologies, threat detection capabilities and a team of security analysts. By outsourcing their cybersecurity needs to Blackpoint, MSPs benefit from the expertise of these specialists without having to build their own SOC.

In essence, Blackpoint equips MSPs with the tools and expertise to combat cyber attacks, which allows them to confidently offer robust security solutions to their own clients. It’s because of this that Blackpoint recently received membership in the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, or MISA. This membership places Blackpoint Cyber as a go-to cybersecurity solution for MSPs using Microsoft Defender for Business and Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Entra ID.

MISA is an association of independent software vendors and managed security service providers who have seamlessly integrated their solutions to strengthen defenses in a digital landscape that is becoming increasingly hostile. This collaboration provides deeper insights, better visibility into threats, and stronger protection for our customers.

"We're extremely proud to join MISA. This membership is a testament to our commitment to providing the highest level of cybersecurity solutions to MSPs," said Jon Murchison, CEO and founder of Blackpoint Cyber. "This collaboration with Microsoft and other MISA members enables MSPs to better protect their clients against a dynamic and evolving threat landscape.”
