1Password Now Accessible via Amazon Web Services Marketplace

By Stefania Viscusi

1Password, a provider of business password management solutions, has joined the Amazon Web Services Partner Network (APN). This makes its enterprise password manager solution available in the AWS Marketplace, and it enables 1Password to streamline access to its security offerings and expedite the deployment process for its AWS global clientele.

“In a world where the threat landscape is rapidly evolving and businesses’ IT and security teams are grappling with a modern workforce that works from anywhere and on any device, 1Password makes it simple for businesses to secure every sign-on to every application from any device in any location,” said Monica Jain, Head of Global GTM Partnerships at 1Password.

With this latest announcement, 1Password can now cater to the diverse needs of businesses by providing them with secure and convenient identity security solutions. Initially accessible in North America, 1Password plans to extend its availability to international regions later this year, broadening its reach and impact.

Trusted by over 100,000 businesses worldwide (including renowned names like Datadog, Figma, and IBM), 1Password offers a zero-knowledge security model that helps fortify identity security infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses and offers larger organizations the ability to incorporate the offering in their identity and access management (IAM) architecture.

Key features of 1Password include interoperability across devices and platforms, ensuring the protection of critical information such as logins, payment cards, sensitive documents, and SSH keys. Its differentiated security model, employing dual-key encryption, enhances protection by necessitating both a customer's chosen account password and a randomly generated Secret Key.

1Password also uses Secure Remote Password (SRP) authentication, eliminating the need to transmit keys over the network - further increasing security. The platform also offers seamless integration with a range of enterprise tools including Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, GitHub, and Datadog, for easy incorporation into existing security frameworks.
