Bitdefender Strengthens MSP Offerings with Advanced Endpoint and Threat Detection Tools

By Greg Tavarez

Gartner predicts a surge in the use of MDR services; the predictions estimate that by 2025, 60% of organizations will leverage MDR providers for remote threat containment and disruption (compared to only 30% in 2023). This represents a doubling over just two years, highlighting the growing importance of robust cybersecurity measures.

MDR services address the increasing complexity of cyber threats. These services provide organizations with a team of security specialists who remotely monitor and analyze a company's systems for suspicious activity. MDR providers can then take action to stop threats and minimize damage. This is particularly valuable for organizations that lack the in-house expertise or resources to manage their own security infrastructure.

The rise of MDR services also reflects a broader trend in cybersecurity. As cyberattacks become more sophisticated, businesses seek reliable security solutions. It just makes sense, and MDR offers a comprehensive approach that can help organizations proactively defend themselves against ever-evolving threats.

Based on the projected growth and adoption of MDR, Bitdefender believes it is imperative that MSPs have the ability to incorporate security services into their endpoint protection and other cybersecurity offerings. They need this to remain competitive, serve global markets and continue to grow.

That is why the managed security provider recently launched GravityZone Cloud MSP Security Solutions. This offering caters to MSPs and their business clients and delivers advanced endpoint protection and MDR services. This combination aims to detect and eliminate cyber threats across various environments, ultimately strengthening overall cybersecurity posture.

GravityZone Cloud MSP Security Solutions comes in three tiers: Secure, Secure Plus, and Secure Extra. Each tier offers best-in-class security protection but is tailored to fit the specific needs, compliance requirements, and budgets of MSP customers.

Secure delivers threat prevention (including system hardening), advanced threat security (ATS) using machine learning and a sandbox analyzer and EDR for real-time threat protection, detection and response. This ensures swift identification and remediation of cyber threats. Bitdefender consistently ranks top in independent third-party tests by AV-Comparatives and MITRE ATT&CK.

Secure Plus includes all features of Secure and adds an MDR layer. This grants MSP customers preemptive protection and 24/7 monitoring by a dedicated team of cybersecurity experts. This team delivers context-based mitigation to halt attacks in their tracks. Businesses benefit from Bitdefender's global SOC ecosystem, ensuring continuous around-the-clock security monitoring.

Secure Extra includes all features of Secure and Secure Plus. It additionally offers XDR for businesses requiring extended threat visibility and advanced detection and response capabilities. XDR functions through identity and productivity application sensors, both on-premises and in the cloud. Bitdefender XDR is a native solution designed to provide rich security context, correlate disparate alerts, deliver out-of-the-box analytics, facilitate rapid incident triage and enable attack containment through automated and guided response actions across an entire business environment.

“MSPs struggle to provide business customers with effective cybersecurity solutions and expertise needed to keep pace with an evolving threat landscape,” said Andrei Florescu, President and General Manager at Bitdefender Business Solutions Group. “GravityZone Cloud MSP Security Solutions addresses these challenges head-on by delivering best-in-class threat monitoring, attack visibility and response capabilities in a single platform that is both highly flexible and cost efficient.”

Bitdefender GravityZone Cloud MSP Security Solutions is now available.
