Cloud-based solutions for collaboration and communication are popular today because they offer flexibility and scalability. Although that popularity might attract many business users, it also attracts those looking to carry out malicious acts, which creates new cybersecurity challenges.

Still, organizations, regardless of size, need adaptable cloud security solutions to safeguard their critical assets. This is where Hornetsecurity steps in. They have positioned themselves as a trusted partner, offering a comprehensive suite of cloud-based security services.

Hornetsecurity's solutions address the specific needs of modern businesses. They provide protection for IT infrastructure, digital communication channels and sensitive data. Their next-generation security features are designed to be flexible and adaptable, able to keep pace with the threat landscape.

Hornetsecurity also offers tailored compliance solutions to be certain that businesses adhere to relevant data privacy regulations. Additionally, their backup solutions provide a crucial safety net.

As is the case with most security providers, Hornetsecurity wants to expand its solutions portfolio. To do that, Hornetsecurity announced Vade has joined the group.

Vade established itself as an important player in SaaS-based email security for Microsoft 365. Their offerings include differentiated API-based email filtering technology and a solution tailored for large telecommunications companies and original equipment manufacturers worldwide.

Hornetsecurity complements this focus with additional Microsoft 365 services like backup, permission management, automated security awareness training and AI-powered recipient validation.

“Since its inception, Vade has remained dedicated to introducing innovative approaches to combat cybersecurity threats,” said Georges Lotigier, CEO of Vade. “By joining Hornetsecurity, we will pursue and accelerate this commitment by helping to deliver a wider array of top-tier solutions to the ever-expanding cybersecurity market in Europe and worldwide.”

The combined entity offers customers and partners a broader product portfolio. Throughout 2024, additional products will be introduced. Vade's extensive channel network will allow MSPs and resellers to present attractive product bundles to the French market, such as the comprehensive 365 Total Protection service, which addresses a wide range of Microsoft 365 security, compliance and data protection needs for organizations.

“This transaction is an important milestone in our journey to build the strongest global provider of Microsoft 365 security services,” said Daniel Hofmann, CEO of Hornetsecurity.

Vade's leadership team has assumed different management positions at Hornetsecurity. Lotigier is a member of the Hornetsecurity supervisory board.

This transaction with Vade, which closed and financial terms were not disclosed, is in line with Hornetsecurity's strategy of product build-up and international expansion, backed by PSG Equity, TA Associates and Verdane, three software and specialist growth investment firms.
