The proliferation of mobile technology altered cybersecurity with the mobile workforce serving as a prime target for cybercriminals. In fact, Check Point's 2023 Cyber Security Report shows that one in 10 organizations fell victim to mobile malware in 2022 alone. This statistic serves as a reminder of the escalating risks associated with mobile devices in the realm of cybersecurity.
Mobile malware poses a multifaceted threat to organizations. It encompasses a spectrum of malicious activities ranging from data breaches to financial fraud. As the reliance on mobile devices continues to grow, fueled by the convenience and flexibility they offer, so too does the sophistication of cyber threats that target them.
It is evident that mobile malware is poised to escalate. So, to jump ahead of the bad actors, ManageEngine recently announced an integration between Endpoint Central, its flagship unified endpoint management solution, and Check Point's Harmony Mobile, a mobile threat defense solution, to help IT security teams automate the remediation of mobile threats.
ManageEngine's Endpoint Central is a unified endpoint management and security solution that helps IT professionals manage, secure and troubleshoot endpoints across their organization. It offers a comprehensive set of features, including endpoint management, remote access and mobile device management. Endpoint Central is available as a cloud-based solution or on-premises deployment.
Check Point’s Harmony Mobile is a mobile threat defense solution designed to secure organizations' mobile devices, including those used in BYOD programs. It safeguards against various mobile security threats like malware, phishing attempts and data breaches. Key features include application protection, network protection, operating system and device protection as well as file protection.
The integration between the solutions addresses the increasing number of mobile threats that continue to circumvent OS-native security measures. These threats range from traditional malware to more sophisticated phishing attacks and spyware.
"In our journey to equip IT security teams to fight against the evolving threat landscape, we offer a wide range of security solutions from a unified platform," said Mathivanan Venkatachalam, Vice President of ManageEngine. "We partnered with Check Point to enhance our mobile security capabilities, empowering customers with advanced and comprehensive endpoint security."
The integration also allows joint customers to streamline mobile threat detection, prioritization and remediation processes. This collaboration improves operational efficiency, providing a more effective and seamless experience for organizations facing mobile security challenges.
"By integrating Check Point’s Harmony Mobile with ManageEngine’s Endpoint Central, organizations can achieve holistic endpoint management and security, seamlessly addressing the challenges posed by the rapid proliferation of mobile devices in the workplace,” said Jason Min, Head of Business Development at Check Point.
