$15M Injection Fuels Growth for Reinvent Telecom

$15M Injection Fuels Growth for Reinvent Telecom

By Greg Tavarez

In the wholesale VoIP market, with consolidation among competitors and a loss of their competitive edge, many companies face critical choices. Some turn to borrowing or external investment, potentially leading to a loss of control. Others downsize to attract investors or cut costs, which raises concerns about service quality for customers and partners.

However, amidst this uncertainty, Reinvent Telecom stands out with a unique approach. Their multigenerational ownership structure allows them to take a long-term perspective, free from the pressure of short-term gains. This stability fosters lasting partnerships and inspires trust in their resellers.

In that vein, Reinvent announced a multiyear plan to allocate more than $15 million toward upgrading its infrastructure and team expertise with executives from Microsoft, Nextiva and Consumer Cellular. This follows the recent news of Reinvent approving Snom on its wholesale platform.

Reinvent is a Saddleback Communications division that offers a private-label communications platform for wholesale partners. This platform helps partners become next-generation cloud-based service providers. Services include UCaaS, conferencing and collaboration, Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams and SIP trunking.

Unlike some white-label providers, Reinvent operates as part of a larger company with its own facilities and data centers across the country, and the $15 million investment is expected to modernize and expand Reinvent’s core infrastructure so they can continue to offer innovative cloud communications services.

“Expanding Reinvent's network and service portfolio ensures dependable delivery of advanced cloud communications and telecom solutions to our reseller partners' clientele,” said Bill Bryant, president of Reinvent. "Our enhanced white-label services and dedicated partner support fortify the high-level customer experience anticipated by our reseller, ITSP, MSP and ILEC partners.”

Of course, in the business world, expansion plans cannot be fulfilled without proper leadership in place. Reinvent has a strategy for that by bringing in four communications veterans: Stan Bryant, vice president of operations; Andrew Ward, chief technology officer; Chris Halverson, director of customer service; and Jake Livingstone, director of voice network.

Bryant has three decades of telecom expertise with experience in executive roles and overseeing large-scale technology integration programs. His philosophy centers on business excellence and efficient process engineering.

Ward brings more than two decades of experience in software development, technical consulting and international management of teams in the U.K. and the U.S. Halverson has 20 years of global experience, which includes creating more streamlined systems and leading customer support facilities in 150 countries worldwide.

Livingstone has 13 years of software engineering experience and existing knowledge of Saddleback's core switching technology, Metaswitch, from his prior work in the industry.

“Welcoming these industry experts to the Reinvent leadership team reinforces our commitment to delivering highly reliable communication services and exceptional support to our partner community,” said Bryant.

With the leadership in place, Reinvent is on track to carry out this comprehensive investment strategy aimed at leveraging current market opportunities within the wholesale cloud communications sector.
