Integris Acquires Network People and Expands Footprint to 11 States

Consolidation is a strategy seen more commonly in the MSP landscape in recent years, and it makes sense.

A larger organization acquiring MSPs allows for quicker market penetration, compared to relying solely on organic client acquisition. This is particularly beneficial in an industry where standing out from the crowd is crucial. Furthermore, these acquisitions expand service portfolios. By integrating the expertise of acquired companies, the company acquiring the MSPs can offer a wider range of IT solutions, which then allows them to cater to a more diverse client base and enhance the value proposition for existing clients.

Acquisitions can also address the industry-wide shortage of skilled IT professionals by bringing on board experienced personnel from the acquired firm. This not only bolsters the acquiring company's technical expertise; it also helps bridge the ongoing talent gap.

Beyond talent, acquisitions can also provide access to valuable technology and resources possessed by the acquired company. This can lead to cost savings through economies of scale, increased efficiency through existing infrastructure and a competitive edge through access to new technology and expertise.

However, it is important to remember that successful acquisitions require careful planning and execution, a strategy that IT MSP Integris has adopted in recent years.

Integris is a managed IT service provider that helps small and mid-sized companies power their success through technology. In the past four years, Integris acquired numerous companies, including Security7 Networks, Blue Jean Networks and CalTech. Looking from the outside, it seems Integris identifies companies that complement their existing services. This allows them to avoid redundancy and instead, offer clients a comprehensive suite of solutions, all under one umbrella.

That approach is why Integris was recognized by multiple industry lists in recent years, notably receiving No. 1 Fastest Growth Awards in 2023 and 2022, respectively, from CRN and Clutch. And Integris' CEO, Rashaad Bajwa, says the company has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.

With a foot on the pedal, Integris recently acquired another company: Network People, an IT MSP based in Tampa, Florida.

Network People specializes in managed IT services, cybersecurity and web development. They focus on providing secure and reliable IT solutions to SMBs, emphasizing education and proactive measures to prevent security breaches. The company also emphasizes building partnerships with their clients and working alongside their internal IT teams to offer expertise and support.

"At Network People, we have followed the growth and success of Integris through the years and appreciated the quality of companies they have been able to attract. When the opportunity to bring our companies together became possible, we knew Integris was the right fit for us,”said Nate Freeman, co-founder of Network People. “This combination is a natural fit for our vision as it will bring our clients expanded resources and skills, and it will put our employees on a fast track for growth.”

The acquisition boosts Integris' presence in the southeast region, adding Florida to the states it currently serves. Network People's clientele and expertise in managed IT services will further strengthen Integris' service offerings and broaden its reach.

"Network People is an established MSP with a mature security practice that aligns well with our core values, operational excellence and a people focused culture,” says Bajwa. “For us, this acquisition adds new talent while expanding service offerings in Florida.”

The financial terms of this acquisition were not disclosed.
