That is why TD SYNNEX recently announced the appointment of Miriam Murphy as the company’s new president, Europe. Reporting to Patrick Zammit, Chief Operating Officer of TD SYNNEX, Murphy succeeds him as president, Europe, and joins the company's global executive team. She will lead the distributor’s European executive board, comprising geo leaders and executives responsible for strategic business units and support functions in the region.

Murphy returns to TD SYNNEX after serving two years as CEO, Europe, at NTT Ltd. In that position, she managed strategy and profit and loss for 14 countries, providing technology solutions, consulting and managed services to enterprise clients across various sectors. Prior to that, she held various leadership roles at TD SYNNEX for over 20 years, including Senior Vice President, Advanced and Specialized Solutions, Europe, and regional leader for Northern Europe.
"She brings a people-first mentality, combined with exceptional business acumen, an extensive network of contacts at vendors and customers, and a relentless commitment to delivering excellence to all our stakeholders,” said Zammit. Murphy is also a notable advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the IT industry. During her previous tenure at TD SYNNEX, she actively contributed to establishing and advancing the company's inclusion programs in Europe, supporting the creation of co-worker resource groups addressing topics such as gender equity, disability and LGBTQ issues.

Murphy assumes her new role on April 8.
