Data from BT, a global communications company, revealed that 76% of global workers now require hybrid work models, pushing the need for agile and secure connectivity solutions. One solution companies are looking at is Security Service Edge, or SSE, which helps deliver a better user experience by keeping workers productive while providing increased visibility and control of network, applications and data.
So, in a move aimed at boosting security for the modern, hybrid workforce for its clients, BT announced a partnership with Netskope, a pioneer in SASE, to bring Netskope’s SSE capabilities to BT’s global customer base.
The BT and Netskope partnership offers many key benefits for businesses. Here are a few.
Businesses can enjoy enhanced security through centralized control over user access, application usage, and data, thereby significantly reducing the risk of cyberattacks and data breaches. Netskope’s SSE suite, delivered through its global private cloud footprint NewEdge, offers a robust portfolio of security features, including:
- Cloud Access Security Broker: Provides visibility and control over cloud applications and data.
- Secure Web Gateway: Protects users from malware, phishing, and other web-based threats.
- Data Loss Prevention: Prevents sensitive data from being leaked or exfiltrated.
- Zero Trust Network Access: Grants least-privilege access to applications and resources.
This increased security is complemented by improved user experience, as the partnership enables seamless and secure access to applications and resources from any location or device, ultimately boosting employee productivity and satisfaction.
“Security transformation is high on the priority list for organizations globally, as they look to address the challenges of the fast-evolving modern enterprise,” said Tristan Morgan, MD Security at BT. “We pride ourselves on partnering with the best technology innovators globally, to ensure our customers stay ahead of the threat landscape.”
The collaboration also facilitates simplified SSE adoption and management, with businesses able to leverage BT’s managed services expertise to reduce the complexity of SSE implementation and ongoing operations.
Additionally, the partnership provides increased agility and scalability, allowing BT clients to adapt to changing needs and effortlessly scale their security infrastructure. This is made possible through the combination of BT’s global network and Netskope’s cloud-based platform, offering a flexible solution for any changing business requirements.
“BT clients will benefit from robust security measures to minimize the risk of cyber threats while aiding in meeting compliance standards, and employees will see a boost in productivity via excellent user experiences,” said Dave Rogers, SVP, Alliances and Global Channel Sales at Netskope.
The BT and Netskope partnership positions the two companies to better empower BT clients to thrive in the secure hybrid workforce world.
